I had the old 360 fightpad. I used it before I switched to stick.
It was a good pad with a great d-Pad (modeled after the saturn pad). I know you use the stick though… so I’m not as confident. Of all the controllers I’ve tried, the Xbox One pad has the best Joystick.
How are the RB and LB buttons on an Xbox One pad? They seem a little large and the kind of button that takes a bit to fully depress and “click,” vs say the PS4 pad
I mean, I like pretty much everything about the Xbox pad over the PS4 pad. The only thing he PS pads had was a great Dpad, but the PS4 Dpad is worse than the PS3 one.
The shoulders on the modern ones no longer have the “hinge” design the old ones have. The way your fingers rest on the controller its much easier to hit both triggers than the PS4 pad.
Of course, preferences and all that. What do you use now?
Edit: also, i edited my post a bit. I meant to say Xbox pad had the best “joystick”

The RB/LB buttons don’t depress at all, they just click. Hard to tell if the Xbox One has the same button type.
So, if you’ve been using that… the Xbox one pad is going to feel like switching from a Fiat to a BMW.
The Xbox sticks are a touch stiffer than you are probably used to though. This is my (and most peoples) preference… but most people don’t play FG’s on them.
Poverty pad or bust.
Despite how it looks it’s lasted me almost 6 years now which is surprising. I tried getting backup 360 pads but they’d break after a few months. This guy just keeps on trucking.
Unrelated but why are the fighting chance colors so bad. I noticed I had 22 fortune tickets so I decided to try for that Sagat outfit that’s back in rotation and got a color for Ed

I re-read your post. The Xbox shoulder buttons (and all the buttons) are more sensitive and “clicky” than the PS4 buttons. So… yeah.
Surprised your 360 pads were breaking, they are good kit. shrug

The rubber on the analog stick would also sometimes come loose/fall off but that’s not a huge deal since it was playable with it removed. That 360 pad I have there just has a smooth surface without any rubber so never had to worry about that sort of thing

The rubber wears down on everything at some point, never had it come off though (except on PS1-3 pads). I’ve hears stories from the earlier PS4 pads of rubber issues.
The way the grip on the Xbox One pad is designed, I don’t know if it can really “come off”. It certainly wears down though, and faster than I would prefer.
Fighting chance colors do feel more miss than hit, but I really like these two:
