All that is true i guess. I never knew enough about MK gameplay to know if 11 is more neutral heavy than average or not so i didn’t really buy into the meme there. And im still so low level that i have no idea what the real meta is.

That said people here gave it a good word anyway and I enjoy it.

The biggest thing for me is lack of VT’s is so refreshing. You eat a Fatal Blow once per match for big damage and after some oki its over. After that besides your regular tools you’re on your own. However if you save your Krushing Blows (when regular attacks suddenly do a fuckton of damage) you can still pull big swings later on.

Of course there are other things I like and dislike about, but that is the major thing. Unless Vega gets buffed to god tier or they drop the very few specific characters i want in august I don’t see myself coming back to SF until 6 drops.

I actually hope they nerf, rashid and ibuki a bit next patch.

Ibuki just needs a trigger nerf

Ibuki is fine honestly. She gets puked on in a lot of matchups. Nerf gun needs bullets for rashid and akuma. The rest of the top tiers aren’t strong enough to warrant nerfs.

KBs are good when the requirements are proper. KBs being rewarded for whiff punishing or hitting a certain combo threshold? Great, I love it. It’s rewarding you for better play.

KBs for doing a Special Move at max distance or only hitting the last part of the string? Bad KBs that reward you for doing stupid shit you should almost never do.

Then you got Johnny Cage’s whose are all time bad.

Luckily you were around for MKX. If was 50/50s and armor all day, everyday.

The degenerate shit in MK has been heavily neutered. Footsies mean much more in MK11 than they do in SFV and without retarded ass vtriggers.

Fucking this bad Krushing Blows are probably the biggest thing that gatekeeps characters from higher tiers.

Jade with parry KB that requires two amped parries to land before that.

Cetrion requiring her Geyser to miss 3 times in a row first lmao

That max distance shit is irritating. I think jacqui’s is the only one somewhat ok because she has a combo only females that puts it at the perfect range.

They really need to tweek some KB requirements.

I don’t think anyone can beat Johnny in worst krushing blows.

Edited for truth because its not just Rashid. Any pre-AE character that hasn’t been fixed by now is probably just gonna rock out.

I will say that this is also contributing to the staleness of the game. I’m don’t want to turn on a stream just to see no character reveals, 10 Rashids and Ibuki’s, and Punk still taking first place with Karin.

(Not suggesting Karin should be nerfed btw, more that others should step up)

Tried to watch Tekken, i still can’t stand watching that game. I know it’s me that’s the problem… but still.

MK cleaned up a lot as the brackets narrowed down, and has been good to watch.

If theres one character that i dont like watching on screen its Rashid.

Fixed for myself. Don’t like using him or fighting him either.

I fucking hate characters who are designed from the ground up the be degenerate as fuck. Hope he gets filed away with Elf under “will never see another SF game again”.

Where is @Daemos at to downplay Bison? Also Cammy nerfs were way overblown.

Footsies mean a lot in SF5. Think the problem for the random hit is too good. In a lot of older games, I’m happy hitting non-cancelable normals because they were good at controlling space. In SF5 though, all of those normals feel insanely limpwristed when other characters can have good space control and cancelable properties…that take you all the way to the corner.

There is just this really weird situation going into the game where just hitting normals isn’t enough; or throwing fireballs for zoning isn’t enough. Sometimes it can get the job done. But as a general strategy it really isn’t going to get you there. Dashes doesn’t really help with that situation either. Actually, if this game had bad dashes, it’d probably way better since you’d had to respect a wider range of normals. Otherwise you get silly situations where Rashid has a 15 frame dash and Ed gets a normal that’s 15 frames in St.HK or Necalli gets silly ass St.HK which is also 14 frames, Zeku’s st.hk is 13.

But then the normals below that are usually way shorter, so it isn’t like you can control space with them either. Which realistically means that if you have a character with a fast dash, the best whiff punish against some normals is just to dash forward and close space. Because between the recovery of a normal and the start up of some others, there’s no good way for them to stop the dash.

Yeah, SF5 shouldn’t have had dashes. Game would probably be way better without them.

Also I bought FEXL and that has running and dashing normals all over the place. :joy:

Figuring Bonchan will go with Sagat vs Mena. Karin vs Birdie not worth it other than being able to completely outplay the Birdie

Poor Sako. Winning with Menat is just really difficult now, if you get hit once you need a lot of luck to not lose the round.
