SFV Lounge: No News after the grass, 10K POWERRRRRRR

Well…none because i cant do it. But ive tried everything from lifebars to reel animations to stub gauge to stand confirms etc.

I can do “some” 1 hit cancel confirms like falkes st.hp and chuns st.hp xx vt etc. but its still super hard even in training and the cr.mk confirms i just cant do.

One good thing though is that all the practice got me doing CH confirms and seeing waking animations and reacting to the wakeup animation and being able to cover both rises reactively.

But its still not gameplay i dont particularly like. Deal with? sure.

Ahh oh well. I do know I hate the reel animations in SFV.

I wonder what top players are looking at for confirms.

I fucking knew Daigo would lose to Fang.

People need to start respecting FANG though. He’s a solid character.

True. I figured Daigo wouldn’t have the matchup knowledge on top of the fact that post nerfs Guile may actually lose the matchup.

Yeah, not sure if FANG wins the matchup or lack of matchup experience. Either way, Daigo looked uncomfortable from all areas of the screen.

He used Menat in every other pool match, pretty sure he saw the pad and character pick and could tell I was a nobody he didn’t need to take seriously

Not that I blame him

We left the venue after my match so fortunately we don’t know

And hopefully still won’t know when we’re back for casuals tomorrow

I hope you at least had a great time/experience. And the cheese pizza was awesome! =D

Still can’t get out of pools in anything or get past my best tourney record of 4-2 (went 4-2 in Smash, 2-2 in Soul Calibur and 1-2 in SFV), so I’m not sure I can really say that

DJ’s been enjoying himself at least though

4 Ibuki is stupid. The good Ibukis have plus on block dumb dumb air ex kunais. No point in having a defensive ex kunai. Her walk speed is even better than it was in IV also. Plus i like that V Ibuki is more reset based like 3S Ibuki was.

@Edmund we pretty much just dicked around with casuals in the hotel room. One of the buttons in my stick went bad any way. Works out that we didnt have to hear Joy going HAM.

@Pertho 801 outta there. Give G frame 1 armor on something

The hell? Not a single post for 8 hours? Is something wrong with my browser…?

Forum is going very, very slow lately.

On some unrelated news, my Gief is still the worst one in Brazil.

I enjoyed the angry SFIV fanboy, not knowing shit about SFV and Dime coming to his aid, cause he’s another angry SFIV fanboy.

I also enjoy Pertho and Jin telling them, that they’re idiots.

I mean there isn’t much to talk about far as i can tell.

The only new and interesting thing around here is two of our own at Combo Breaker.

I mean I could go over how I currently work on Match-Ups, different pressure and Neutral Options against Tool X, how to Instablock certain things and what I should and shouldn’t do on Defence.

But no one would really care since boring lab work isn’t interesting.
On a sidenote it’s kinda crazy how much time I spend in the lab and actually enjoy it compared to SF.
I hated Labwork in SFIV and V with a passion, now i’m having fun.
I don’t understand why someone has to explain this to me.

But I have to say, SFV Training Mode is S Tier without a contest, probably the best feature of the entire game.
Wish more games had a Training Mode on that level.

Training mode is one of the things Capcom got really right with SFV.
Other games need to look at it and try to get to that level.

Its capcom’s fault.

August is a long wait for information…not even actual content potentially

I assume a lot of people are just playing MK11. I was watching the Florida vs Texas 10 v 10 yesterday. Its hilarious how often that game is on some SF5 shit.

Random single hit moves just deal crazy damage for reasons. Dudes taking the throw multiple times. Eating actual 50/50s that lead to hella damage.

Not much Neutral Kombat going on. Y’all were lied too.

Speaking of Neutral Kombat.

For anyone interested in Uni, here is a little bit of a difficulty list:

Basically Hyde and Akatsuki are the Standard Shotos of the game. Hyde being more space control and Neutral focuses, while Akatsuki is more focused on Mixups and Rushdown.

Linne is super easy and got tools for every possible situation.

Eltnum can be describes as “what if we gave Cammy a gun.” she has one of the most entertaining projectiles in a FG, with her ricochet shot. Rushdown and Mixup focused.

Orie is heavy on the Neutral and best described as Footsies character (with some Unga), perfect for people who love to outspace others.

Wagner is Unga Neutral the character. You never press a button when she’s close, you pray she never hits you and she has some of the most retarded buttons in the entire game. And she has 2A+D.

Enkidu sucks, but he has Counters, that also suck.

And Mika is… a Grappler that flys around and is… bad.

Thats like the easiest you can get from the current cast.

Also shameless promotion, our Discord is holding it’s monthly Uni Tournament right now.
