Jason Bourne with the “punches you with a book” command grab. Or would it just be Matt Damon?

Complete with earthquake super to make it incomprehensible as to what is going on looool

Honestly John Wick did the punching with book thing better

Never seen any of the Wick movies so i wouldn’t know. I just know JB is that nigga.

Either way this game would just be Def Jam for white people. Which im 100% ok with.

Says you love to watch movies but never seen John Wick? What u doing bro

Never been much of a fan of the Bourne films myself, not gonna deny I might be biased because I absolutely loathe how it basically made bad shaky cam become a thing in action movies to come after them

I had never even heard of John Wick until way after it cane out. Hell until i saw the trailers for 3 i never knew there was a 2. Idk how i missed them but i must’ve been under a rock when they came out.

Also if we talking about hilarious camera work when are we gonna talk about Liam Neeson.

the way Plinking (priority linking) worked in SF4 was that you’d hit two buttons of different strenghts at a specific timing. When you did this, the game would give you an input for the strongest of the two buttons twice. So if you did lp and mp as a plink, you’d see [mp] in the inputs for the first frame, and the second frame on top of it would show [lp mp]. Because of how the system recognizes inputs, if you press two buttons, and those two buttons don’t have a specific command attached to them, you get the strongest of the two. This was very useful for doing 1 frame link combos because you were putting in two inputs of the same button with one motion.

The problem though, was that you couldn’t do jabs. A lot of punishes required a frame perfect jab to do them. Eventually somebody discovered that you could use select as the secondary button for plinking and you’d put two inputs of low buttons. So like the previous example, select + lp woudl give you [lp] on the first frame and [lp] on the second.

This lead to a lot of players rewiring their sticks so that they’d have the select button as one of their 8 face buttons on their sticks. so on a regular madcatz stick, where jab normally would be, that would be select, then the other 6 buttons to the left would be the ones they’d play with so they had access to plinking with the select button.

keep asking for games but nobody wanna.

:sob:

Here

Gotta blame this on the director of the taken sequels more than Neeson, that director ruins action in anything he touches

Lmao that shit is funnier everytime i see it

Def Jam Liam Neeson gets a literal teleport any time the game drops below 60FPS.

That’s… brilliant.

I love FGs specifically because of stuff like this.

John Wick > Bourne series. The only Bourne movie I liked was Identity and it was decent but not great. All three of the John Wick movies are must watch if you like action stuff.

I still don’t understand Capcom’s ruling (or not) about hitbox controllers. I mean I understand that you can return to charging after a Sonic boom a bit quicker, but I thought SFV was specifically designed for … :sunglasses: … skipping neutral.

Regular plinking was fine.

Rewiring your buttons to do some weird extraneous shit is sort of slowly moving gameplay into a weird goofy area. What’s funny is that a lot of it accidentally came about because of pad warriors and people who learned games by playing on keyboards.

There was an SRK named @Furious Keys oh FFS @Don_Barracuda you fucking cunt, when did you change your name into that bullshit? I should abuse mod powers and return you to your proper name.

Anyways, here’s a youtube vid of this dude doing cool stuff in ST with a keyboard:

Its kind of funny because in the way back when all that keyboard nonsense was super impressive. Now with hitboxes its kind of overlook. Although getting proper ST inputs on a keyboard is pretty crazy.

Still mad that you changed your name though.

SFurious keys changed his name…

Wow. I remember that dude and me always thinking he was an execution god cause he was doing crazy shit on KB. Then fast forward some years and my playing partners in skullgirls were all Korean KB players with insane executuion and hitbox had come out as well.

Hmmm…

But anyways. Never had a problem with plinking. The timing is super easy. I even thought about making a back plink button like @mingodynasty

But I thought that was a bit extra just to be some midtier scrub ibuki. But it didn’t stop me from wasting years of my life trying to get ibuki 1 frame combos to 80%…

I don’t mind the advantage that hitbox gives. It’s available to everyone so it’s fair game imo.

Shit like 1 frame link timing is also available to everyone. Shit like having the reactions for 1 hit cancel confirms isn’t… so that’s why I don’t like that shit being programmed in.

But in the end I like not having to do 1 frame links anymore. It means no more dropped combos from me, and I also get to play an opponent that is close to 100%, without needles time spent in T mode.

Tbh, I really hope sf6 has an auto confirm for 1 hit moves. That would be legit if it were balanced to be either less damage or give fewer dividends on hit.

That’s how 1 frame link stuff used to be. You could do a lesser easier combo for less damage. Or the hard combo for more damage. With cancel confirms you are all or nothing with no inbetween.

Anywho, my Ed is getting really good. I think he’s damn strong character as I find more and more stuff to abuse with him.

Did Dime use to write essays in the past?

George R.R Martin should hire him to help finish his Game Of Thrones books. =P
