SFV Lounge: No News after the grass, 10K POWERRRRRRR

Dunno what the fuck happened today, but I could control pretty much all my matches with Falke.
It was weird. I lost 4 matches total, 2 being my 2 first, warm up matches.
Felt sort of nice to lame people like that. I could feel their frustration through the screen.

I hope capcom stops make dumb ass fucking characters like Mika and Fuerte.

They are shit to fight.

They provide countless unnecessary stressful matches.

And mika can go fuck herself for being the biggest fraud crutch on the planet next to season 2 Urien.

So yeah, these type of characters can go choke on it and the type of players that cry about wanting them.

Less comeback mechanics, more combo routes for SF6. Don’t bring back one frame links though.

Lmao I feel you on every level. I legit became a Mika main with how much I studied that character and the shitty matchups.

Get an actual SF player involved in development. I know a lot of people say players are not good at balancing games but I genuinely think people like Valle and Daigo in particular understand what makes a good SF game.

I have never disagreed with Daigo when he speaks about what he wants in an SF game.

Like I can watch someone getting Mika’d and see exactly where they fucked up. It feels so good to know her bullshit and not get put in a blender. Mika preys on matchup knowledge.

that’s the part that makes me mad. There’s this cunty underpinning to this game being trash. Just the absolute hubris of the game. Kind of similar to some of the shit that pisses me off about Skullgirls. Mike Z wanted the game to play that way…on purpose.

That just the one thing that’s baffling about this game. Its meant to be this way. They wanted it to play like it does. All the things you don’t like, they all decided to make that way intentionally. You got dashes that are 1 frame slower than some normals…on purpose.

I’mma need whoever helped design rashid, gave him a 15 frame dash, and the final ok to all be banned from working on SF6 and stoned.

I better not ever see a sub 18 frame dash in SF again.

faster dashes work in a game that doesn’t adjust normals and add neutral mechanics that purposely deter anti-dash attempts.

Mixture of priority, crush counter and stubby ranges is what makes dashes feel so stupid.

It isn’t just that, its all of it. Bison doing all the dumb shit he does? Yeah, they meant that. Birdie having a longer jab than half the cast has buttons? They meant that too.

Everything you don’t like, every part that you’re like “wtf this is dumb”, all the parts that are just stupifying…all of it on purpose. They sat around and decided it should be this way.

SF5 Akuma gets to be the way he is, do all the dumb shit he does, and everybody has to hold that because they meant Akuma to be like that and other characters to be dumbfucky for the lols of it.

If we’re going to maintain the +2/+3 jab design V has, I personally think 3fs need to be removed from the game in their entirety outside of specials.

Fuck that, neither of them were OP characters done on purpose because of blatant developer fanboyism like Akuma.

Mika can be really nasty once she gets in, but she needs to make the right reads or to play above average to gain that position. Fuerte can bypass neutral, but his damage output is such that it got the meme going about he having to guess right 6 times to win while you have to guess right 3 times to win.

Even if their core gameplay is meant to be annoying, they were designed with core flaws to balancing them properly.

They probably will. Might need to bring back OG pushback and some of the old throw invincibility.

Knockdown stuff is hella tedious. Who knows though. We’ll probably get Set Play Fighter 6 because people keep stanning SF4’s dumb shit.
