Every single game realized with UE , with the exception of Arkane’s Dishonored and Team Red’s anime fighters, ends up having a “plastic” feeling.
The Batman Arkham series is probably the best example of this with every single character looking like a plastic action figure
Funnily enough I think SFV is among the top games when it comes to the OST. There are few good/smart decisions that Capcom made here, but hiring multiple composers to do the music is certainly not one of them
Won’t miss if absent
Ono
Will miss
Crush counters
Low forwards not being dominant in ground footsies
I feel like his is a solvable issue though, and would rather work on solving it that binning the feature.
A related story. Friends and I were playing sea of thieves the other day, one of my friends was on PC, which meant we were queuing in PC matchmaking. We all noticed that, for the console players, all the PC players were teleporting around all over the place. So basically, it’s the same sort of thing we see in SFV. So it’s not just SFV.
If you walk into the street without looking up from your phone i hope you get hit by a fucking tractor trailer.
I’ve never wanted to run anybody over before just now and fuck was i tempted.
Oh yeah, don’t get me wrong: I think everything should have cross play across everything. Company politics and infrastructure complications make that hard to do but I think it is the right goal. Especially in something like a fighting game where you’re working with a sub-section of a small portion of a hobby, it mega sucks to further sub-divide that by platform.
I’m also not surprised it happens elsewhere. I’d actually be more surprised if it didn’t. If you think about what has to happen to make netplay work in general, then add in the factors that crossplay adds especially with PC variance, I’m sure it isn’t an easy problem to solve. Particularly for something as twitchy as a fighting game.
I definitely want companies to keep doing it and working at it. I personally have low faith in Capcom’s network engineering capabilities but I’ll take spotty cross play over no cross play at all (esp since the game can let you filter platform if cross play bothers you like SFV does).
Basically, PC gaming is a disease.
How good is PC/Xbox crossplay on KI?
Perfect. No issues in that game.
As I said, it’s definitely something that can be done, it may need more dev attention though.
Wether that attention is worth it from a financial position is uncertain.
Gears 4 crossplay works great too.
Laughing at the jin and bea one
Then I hope I never find the cure.
I could live with it all my life.
Cross play works great on fortnite also…
Makes you wonder what the cause is.
The obvious answer is, when we say Xbox or PlayStation, we mean one device.
When we say “PC” we mean about a billion slightly different devices. However, I don’t think that fully explains the issue in this situation. Especially since some games are good.
Off topic.
I can’t wait for this game. The theme of Bloodlines 2 hits you right in the feels because it’s similar to the first.
Also they reveled a new clan.
The first game was superb btw.
A close friend of mine is working on that game.
I don’t know much about it in detail… so I don’t really have much to say.
Tell him to add Malkavians,please.
I remember him mentioning that word before, not with any real context though.
I’m afraid I never played the first game, so a lot of the fiction words of that universe don’t mean anything to me (and therefor don’t stick in my head). Next time I talk to him I will try and ask.
Also, the games still a ways out, so lots of the content Is still a bit in flux.
Malkavian is one of the clans in the game, they are a bit…crazy.
Imagine Juri, but a vampire.
All I know about that game is that it’s published by Paradox Interactive, a company I know because they make a lot of strategy games that I play.
