They are not doing that. As for the new canon, there’s a new enemy that’s million of years older than the good guys. And they are trying to extract the fat Kaio out of fat Buu.
Is that a Goat? NEAT
More importantly where is this GOAT guy in Fighterz when that game has 50 different versions of Goku?
Not necessarily. He even tried Frost.
So Cetrion went from low tier to tournament character in the span of a week?
In any case I’m glad she did, she has one of the best designs in the entire game (visually speaking, I have no clue about her gameplay).
Why is this PS4 only?
Are they trying to keep the PC Master Race down?
Online sets yesterday nearly gave me whiplash. Super yolo Alex, yolo Urien, surprisingly reserved Mika (also realized it has been like 8 months since I’ve run into a random Mika), normal-ish Ryu, free wins Kage. Held it together alright but I need to lab Mika more and not get so triggered by Alex players and their nonsense.
Yesterday was actually an even day in both games. Lost my first MK11 set in a mirror then drubbed on a Kotal player. There are some aspects of that game that I greatly appreciate. Long animations aren’t one of them but that is NRS and their kasual appeal so no getting around that at this point.
@Vhozite Catching up on the thread but for what it is worth MK sounds a lot weirder than it actually plays when you get hands on. Sajam and EC have some really good, short tutorials that show a lot of what folks are talking about and the idiosyncrasies of the game.
I’m not gonna say to run out and grab it, especially if you haven’t played an MK game before (could get hands on and hate the fuckin’ thing). But once the tumblers started to kick in place for me I really appreciated how the game blends 2D and 3D concepts. Almost makes me wish another company would run with this kind of approach but without NRS’ jankimations and penchant for the theatrical mid game (and I say this as someone who is greatly enjoying MK11).
Daigo and fuudo helping with promoting granblue fantasy apparently lol
They made their first step into the right direction.
Anime will become their new home and ASW their new family.
Are you playing MK11 on a pad or a stick?
I know that stick is not required, but I really hate DS4 triggers and dpad.
However, I also hate blocking with ring or pinky and I hate the default layout on my stick.
I play it on stick, but I feel the control scheme was created with Pad in mind, so some things don’t map well.
Also, several single player/multi-player modes (towers, tag battle) require the use of a right analog stick… which you can’t map on stick.
That shit pisses me off.
It is the only thing I play on pad.
Like Ve said it feels like the game was designed with pad in mind and just thinking about how I would map stuff on a stick made me think I wouldn’t enjoy that. Plus the inputs are ez baby mode stuff so not like you need any extra precision.
Also for me it is a weird thing but playing on pad is more relaxing so it helps me keep the game kool and kasual. I already have SFV for when I want to test how high I can spike my blood pressure.
Before anyone corrects me I am aware MK control scheme was technically designed for a weird x shaped arcade stick…
What @DevilJin_01 is talking about is that some moves have really long animations, he used Seth’s kick thing as an example and that’s a good one.
I don’t mind many of these as they act as an “exclamation point” at the end of a combo, kind of like glory kills in Doom2016 (bad analogy I know). However, sometime the combo will have to many of these (not common). A bigger problem is the throws and fatal blows. Many throws have very long animations (eg geras front throw), and all of the fatal blows last about twice as long as they need to.
I honestly don’t mind the throws much either, but the fatal blows are a real pace killer, especially since at this point, the animations are old and boring because you’ve seen them 100 times.
You guys insist on playing the fanservice game and then complain about the fanservice.
Makes no sense.
I wouldn’t play NRS games, even if they’re free.
I don’t want this garbage even in range of my PC.
I played a bit of MKX, but really not a lot. Didn’t have anyone to consistently play with and it was on PC so the online community wasn’t exactly thriving. Game was pretty fun though the differences from SF made it so i had growing pains i didn’t feel like going through for nobody to play with.
If i jump into 11 it’ll probably be on PS4.
Yeah I barely played MKX outside of the story mode. They added the updated netcode late in that game’s life but prior to that it was fucking atrocious. Tried it a few times, didn’t enjoy underwater kombat and bailed.
I’ve got MK11 on PS4 so if you do end up picking it up and want to run games feel free to hit me up.
