SFV Lounge: No News after the grass, 10K POWERRRRRRR

NRS being on top makes sense for now. Casuals will do more to enter MK than Injustice. Combo Breaker being at NRS headquarters makes those numbers a good place to shine. Hopefully that’s momentum that they keep and it doesn’t turn into 100 people showing up for next year’s CB. Which is very possible if people get tired of the game and Injustice 3 starts to become a thing with next gen.

Hopefully they hold off on injustice. I can never settle on a character cause I want to play everyone. :weary:

600 for a five year old game is really damn good. We’ll be getting some good ass Tekken going forward too.

Over 100 for ST and 3S and BARELY not 100 for VSav though.

And those Unist numbers are fuckinggg crazy.

MVCI pulling 92 people confirms that Injustice players turned into MK players. Injustice and MK are the same game.

I thought Myst was a puzzle game…

There were some hot links in SF4 that were hype.

I was thinking about SF6 the other day. Was hoping Capcom would do a SNk and do a dream match game. I know SF4 was sort of that, but that game is ass.

I’d like to see OG and young lions in a game together…with a groove system. No Custom Combo becauee I dont want to see rashid do 20 eagle spikes for 90%.

Mystery Game tournament, fam.

This is why I’ve pointed out in the past that SF is best when it’s not too combo heavy. SF doesn’t have a real combo system so the frame data needs to pull double duty. You wind up with situations where the link has to be right to makes the frames what they want.

To be fair the SFV buffer (which actually started in SFxT) is a good solution to some of this.

Hell no

I ain’t wasting money on a giant expensive controller

You’ll have to pry my pad out of my cold dead hands

Injustice 3 better have Hawkgirl.

My favorite character was left out of IN 2.

Is young to choose to use something inferior that’s on you. There have been arguments in the past about the built in macros and weather they were okay or not.

Like I said there is a line somewhere, I’m not yet convinced that the hitbox is that line. After all, it’s really just a keyboard at heart.

It’s not inferior if you use Ed

Because of cheat-y macros?

Not sure what you mean. You mean the one button PPP/KKK? That’s assignable regardless of input method

Unless I’m missing something again

That’s why I don’t really have a problem with Hit Box. It’s basically just a glorified keyboard and there was a guy using a keyboard in 3S back during my first Evo. If they allowed that in they already allowed everything else regarding button only inputs.

Agreed.

But there is a line somewhere, and the hitbox is closer to that line.

In the long run we’ll see, but there isn’t anything really pushing a huge wave of Hit Box over pads or sticks. Gootecks couldn’t do anything with his Hit Box and we still barely hear about Hit Box people winning Tekken or Smash tournaments.

SFV is designed so it doesn’t favor any specific type of controller so it already will never be dominated by Hit Box by default. It’s not like Keyboard Falkes are going to dominate tourneys tomorrow.

There are some Left+Right or Up+Down “impossible” input situations.

But those can be handled easily enough at the developer level.
