I think Cipher is a former member gone rouge. He only targets the top dogs of the forum. Not small fry like me.
I love you.

@Akhos
Do you know what the frames are for a jumpin to leave the ground into the air and the first frame that the jump attack connects? Like what are the frames for that sequence not counting pre jump frames and assuming its ryu jumping in against ryu with jhp? Total frames for a jump are like 38 from leaving the ground to landing on he ground… but it would be fewer frames when the jump attack connects.
Also, do you know how many total frames there are to 1 hit confirm falkes st.hp and fhp?
3 prejump frames on a forward jump, + 34 frames in the air until Ryu can hit the other Ryu with jhp
I can’t properly determine how many cancel frames a move has. Usually it’s the hitstop + active - 1 (most heavies have 15 frames of hitstop, so if a move had 3 active frames that’d be a 17 frame reaction window thereabouts), but I can’t really determine how many cancel frames a move with a delay cancel window has. Like Falke has a longer cancel window into VTII off of fhp but I can’t determine how much exactly.
grandmaster nash my ass, horrible!
My bro, he played the match up better than Bonchan though.
Cheers
You don’t tech on reaction. if you could react to being thrown in SF5, you wouldn’t have people getting thrown 3-5 times in a row.
AA you can practice. Most people who miss anti airs are not looking to anti air at any given moment.
Whiff punishing is more complicated because it isn’t all about reactions. You need to be in the right position of the screen in relation to your opponent, the normal needs to leave a decent hurtbox out and you need a normal that reaches far enough.
Not every normal is whiff punishable on reaction. There are still a lot of other things which are. A lot of people don’t punish whiffed dash punches or whiffed Zangief st.hp. Both of those are hilariously easy whiff punishes.
But this is the problem, there are a lot of things you can get better at recognizing thus improving your reactions against them. Dime is always citing punk’s 1 hit confirm as an excuse not to get better at the rest of them. Outside of that, you’d be surprised how much stuff you didn’t think you could do is actually possible.
Momochi’s 1 hit confirm into super? Hilariously free. Short, short xx super? also stupid free in this game. Go into training mode, try it. Once you have it down there, you’ll get more confidence to try it in matches. But it is insanely easier to say that these things are out of your ability altogether than practice them.
Either way, you guys need to also understand that there are a lot of unreactable things in 2D fighting games; this is specially true in SF series. If you wanted to start making these games fall more within base reactions, you’d need normals to swing like Tekken ones all across the board. So 10 frame jabs and like 20 frame heavies.
I can’t react to a dash.
The amount of players, even at the highest level in SF, that can do are few and far. Not exactly the benchmark you want to set as a standard.
I get hit by snake edges all the time in Tekken.
I miss Ranked.
Think I’m gonna jump back in.
I am dumb.
You should always miss ranked.
If you keep missing ranked youll be the 19th Warlord
The 19th ranked player is still about 19000 LP away from the rank that only 18 other people have. Grind is real
Warlord is insane. I thought UGM was insane, but this is on a whole other level.
Pray for me.
Um, guys…ITS HAPPENING!!
I don’t really disagree with you.
But there are people that I come across that can tech throws the majority of the time. Not really on reaction but so close to it that if you don’t put a couple layers on your throw attempt they are teching 7 out of 10 throw attempts.
I’m trash at teching throws in this game and in sf4. Last game I was really good at teching throws was 3s and vs games.
My over all point is reactions in this game matter more than in previous sf games. Not saying that’s a bad thing but its a thing that unlike execution you can’t improve (technically) but you can improve your situational awareness so its less about the on reaction reaction and more about the preemptive reaction.
yeah I’m just point out the fact that good reactions in sf5 are the more valuable physical skill set this go around instead of execution. Which might be a 1st
Ono was telling the truth…?
Man I dont believe it.
Oh shit.
Finally we have news and we can stop fighting.
Frost get your dad back. Maybe Sagat will get mad buffs.
Ok…
I hope it’s a costume
