He knows how to use it. He’s the only one that actually “uses” it. Infiltration tried to use it in S3, but he didn’t really have the setups you can do with it like Sako does.
The only real good thing about VT2 is that it gives Menat a VTC after 2 bars which is good for her since it means she can turn a button into real damage without having to wait as long as she has to now. Menat can win matches without trigger so as long as your spacing is good and you get a confirm into VTC into damage. It’s like getting back a weaker version of S3 Menat in that sense.
VT1 is still clearly the better trigger, but if you can play the spacing game well enough, VT2 might have its merit vs matchups that characters can close the gap really fast in. You can go back to mashing on a button after 2 bars and getting a trigger. Which improves her defensive and damage dump game.
Can you use the trigger solo to win whole tournaments? Probably not. It’s just VT1 being set to 3 bars means it pretty much has to be used now sometimes. Especially because her V Reversal is extremely vulnerable to punishes and not worth doing unless you can risk taking the punish. She effectively doesn’t have a real V Reversal so having a 2 bar trigger helps bridge that gap.

I mean, you have people who write of tierwhoring as bad and then you have people who are full of themself for playing Midtier and below.
If the praised Daigo is tierwhoring like no one else, it can’t be that bad.
Unless he uses G offline won’t matter. Daigo always experiments with characters online, but even before CPT started he hasn’t run S4 offline with anyone other than Guile.
He was running Ryu and Zeku online and people were suspecting, but neither of those characters have seen offline/CPT play from Daigo.
You should watch the replays. Daigo was on some Smug levels of entertaining eating Ls left and right trying to play G.
One of the best moments is when he went to anti air with G v-skill and the jump in stuffed it. BOY

Gs V Skill is like near 20F start up so no surprise. I was watching Nishikin fight a G player and he would purposely hit jHP early in the air to stuff V Skill AAs. You have to use it as soon as they jump up in the air or risk getting stuffed.
V Skill is better for later jump ins/dive kicks. If they’re scrambling for early jump buttons c.HP or j.MP is better.

Should be a good one between those two.
For the winners I got Du beating Chris, 801 beating Myers and Wong beating reboooooo. Rebooooo is cool though because he uses white Elvis Ken. Myers does have a shot of beating Gustavo because I do believe Cammy does well vs G, but people suck at fighting G and he most likely has never fought a G on Gustavo’s level.

Summary
It greatly exceeded my expectations.
They did a great job of tying all the movies together into a final event while still making this movie feel like a really important chapter for pretty much all the characters.
Had a lot more emotion to it which I likewise didn’t expect but appreciated a lot and thought worked well.
