I think you should all play SF2 and never touch a modern SF again.
Then again there will be massive complains about SF2, because of all the BS Capcom has to fix to make the game good.
Also the game has Top Tier, they need to be nerfed though.
Can’t have broken ass top tiers.
Anyway, play SF2 and experience the real SF experience.
Real SF Footsies.
Aka Vega Walldive 50/50s
Or better, go and play Anime, thats literally what you want.
People give Capcom allot of shit for the early days of SFV and the bad PR around MvCI. I still strongly believe that CFN is one of the best things to happen to modern fighting games and new fighters that don’t have that type of ground work laid out feel empty.
Tekken has no replay function which is just asinine in the current year.
Soul Calibur 6 has a replay function but it’s nowhere near as in depth as SFV’s is
(Seriously you can’t even pause the videos to see Frame by frame action)
CFN is one the biggest reasons why I keep coming back. It feels good having so much of the games world just one click away. Seeing who’s beating up who and getting high level strats. Or hell just checking in on friends and setting up lobbies because it’s easy as fuck to see who’s online and what character they are using etc etc.
I hope they refine it even more for future titles down the line. It would suck if they didn’t push it after SFV.
Have the same thoughts too, yet I was amaze that SFV made a comeback. They even made recreate animation stages like Guile stage. I was surprised with all the efforts Capcom did for it.
Despite many hated MVCi for the bad PR its still a good game content wise and gameplay wise. (I still hate the projectile deflect mechanic)
I think it’s in the name, Capcom Fighting Network. It’s meant to become a platform for all future games and likely begin including other fighters. Thank you for acknowledging it though, it’s easy for many to forget how much good that is coming out of this era. SF is not a new game, it’s an old franchise and it has to play catch up. A lot of what SF5 went through is growing pains.
Right now I’m only saying I’m not that good 'cause of what I mentioned before; haven’t put in enough effort yet, not as much to compare myself to or see how far along I am, so calling myself good at this stage doesn’t feel right
Just a matter of time
Side note when are you gonna be on tonight, dunno when @Doctrine_Dark or @DevilJin_01 will be on so maybe we can get games in before then
I’m shooting to be on by 7:00. Hopefully before then but I’m dog sitting while my not-quite-ex-wife is out of town so I need to take care of the puppers and swing back by my apt to make sure the cats get food too. But I can hopefully punch all that out not too long after I get off work around 5.
I’ll @ when I’m ready to go.
Also side note about the FM mission changes that I left out: shit sucks.
Chris T, Daigo, looks like a few pros are looking at maining zeku now. Momochi, big bird and angrybird proved that he’s viable at the top level. That’s the only way new chars are taken seriously by pros. Tokido with Akuma, and infil with menat.
One thing for sure is that this version of the game has the strongest low and mid tiers of any version yet. You’re going to have to take every character a bit seriously in tournament now.
They bring the next balance patch out pretty much whenever it’s ready. S2’s came a bit later in the season but S3’s came almost immediately to fix Abigail going up through the roof and a few other things. Could come anytime.
Or you could just play King of fighters xiv. Or you could go 3d with tekken 7. You already have a lot of fundamentals down with sf5. No need to play anime fighters.
I’m completely fine with 4.5 if they continue in this direction as far as lower tiers go. But who am I kidding they’d likely reverse it all and go back to silly stuff.
