You may be thinking of the 10.000-20.000 fight money you could easily make back doing the story, survival and stuff when you bought a character in the first seasons. Buying price was always 100.000.

Oh okay. I thought it was 80k for characters initially and that it got a price boost. I’ve always gotten the season pass. Maybe it was the stages that was 40kx2, or something that got me bewildered.

Yup, the game has way too many “just do it” moves and buffers as a consequence are too strongly encouraged. You’re not putting out a buffered normal because you know something’s coming and you want to punish it more heavily, you’re putting out a buffered normal because why the fuck aren’t you buffering your normal.

Story costumes and alternate time of day stages are 40k. New stages are 70k. So it might be the story costumes that you were thinking about.
