It is nice with the holidays that they hit more of the cast. Christmas and Halloween are like the only times you can hope for a costume if you play a male character not named Ryu.
Am I missing something or does it seem that you guys are liking sfv season 4? I’m asking because I’ve read in a couple of places that it’s the most balanced season yet.
It is the most balanced but I hate that Cammy is nerfed a tad too much. Give me back my +2ob crlp.

Its an interesting watch, i saw only about 9 or so mins of it, so maybe you did adapt later @Akhos idk.
But you play with a really bad level of honesty, I know it is how you naturally play but that is playing right into Falke’s hands by keeping to play that way. At least for the matches i saw,I don’t think i saw a single sweep which is really weird. You should go for sweeps vs poke heavy characters, especially since Falke is likely to keep checking with low jabs and cr.LPs.
More jumps, neutral and forward and just more movement in general works a lot vs a character like Falke.

Match is slowly going viral. How you liking new Falke and a little tiny bit new Chun? Chun c.MK change anything noticeable?
Well, every season seems like the most balanced season until it isn’t. I will say what seems to be true is that this will be the hardest season to accurately portray the tier list for a while which is a good thing. If anything it’ll be like S2 where there are like 10 or 15 characters that can viably win big CPT events (instead of 6 or 7 like S3), but the characters below that should be able to strike a few more wins if they are as close as they seem.
If it’s a step up from S2 then the top characters will be a little bit less retarded than the S2 top tier was. Unless Kage explodes with BS.
Judging by what’s early out there…
It looks like Akuma and Ibuki should retain their top 5 spots, but the other 3 S3 top 5 might go a bit below in people’s eyes. If Karin is actually coming back to glory then that’s good news for Punk. People are talking about her VT1 backdash buff but not sure what exactly it is.
FADV is drinking all the Kool Aid with Kage so we’ll see how powerful Kage’s Kool Aid Punch really is. From what I’m seeing he’s pretty similar to what makes Akuma good with his own unique stuff so probably not gonna be worse than top 15. I’ll call Akuma and Kage top 2 shotos without much issue. The other shotos being more viable means we’ll see more shoto matchups on the tube and in tournaments likely. Seen some Kool Aid drinking about Alex also supposedly with Problem X really hyping him up now.
Some say Abigail is dead, but I think everytime people try to say characters like him and Mika are dead something happens. If Mika is truly top 5 then maybe this is Fuudo’s chance to win Evo/CPT finally. Like Justin I also believe Cammy and Menat are still really in there. Menat’s ability to just hit 2 or 3 buttons to win matches is really big in a game where most other characters need to do a lot of other things to win matches and have to work around huge hurtboxes. Menat still that outlier character that throws around 2 or 3 buttons that don’t have hurtboxes.
It will be quite the season. Especially with whoever else is coming out with the S4 DLC. Maybe Makoto? Maybe Dan?

Thing is, in SF5 and especially a retarded character like Ken, jumping is always in his favor. You will eat at most a 100 damage for a bad jump and 250+ or maybe 300+ into corner carry and oki with a good jump. You have the EX tatsu to play around with. So risk/reward, you are favored to jump.
And here is a concept that i feel people kinda overlook. If you can’t execute your gameplan, then make sure your opponent can’t do theirs. Ken got worse neutral than Falke and by the looks of it, Jin have the better neutral as a player. So you are kinda fighting a really uphill battle here. So strategically what you can do is to take risks and disrupt his game.
It is what MenaRD did vs Tokido at Capcom Cup, He knows he probably can’t out neutral Tokido a lot so he took big gambles and went for some YOLO here and there.Even if it is not in your nature, you gotta for think about how to get the win.
Falke seems a bit better but not substantially but she is fun. I am having more fun using VT2 despite it being the worst option, but i have more room to mess around with it and use it.
I think Chun overall is weaker in this season compared to last’s just because most of the low tiers got a lot better and her hard MUs still sucks. Cr.MK buff is alright but it isn’t enough i feel. She still isn’t a threat.
I think i been playing Cody the most since S4.

Yeah the best way to play it with Ken is just try to stay around her s.HP range and keep a jump HP or whatever ready to check her. As long as you have health it’s not bad to do and you only need one to push her pretty much in the corner. Walking forward a bit while blocking helps as well since stand shot is the only thing she has that is plus on block with range (until she gets VT1 then you gotta change your strategy temporarily). Blocking those white chip buttons will suck a bit but they are minus so you can still walk or jump after depending. Just have to be careful depending on your health and resources as taking one too many anti airs means you’ll be dead or stunned.
Just have to come up with funky stuff in neutral. Even getting a blocked j.HP or cross up in is kind of a win. The Kens that beat me also do funky stuff like max range v skill kick to try and hit confirm into activate when they get trigger. Playing solid to start so you don’t lose the life lead is good, but you gotta get funky if you wanna win.
If she air fireballs and you can react to it at a space where it wont hit you, always jump forward. That’s always the best thing you can do to air fireballs.
