The way Alex is constructed the player has to play a bit wild.

Yeah with those 3 chars the game is getting close enough to let your char specific BS flow. Its kind of a funny paradox because in order to do well with those characters you need to have that BS queued up and ready to go in your brain and muscle memory, but in order to consistently well with them you have to be able to not just dickfumble your way through neutral which is the harder part.
Sort of case in point and to Eskills mention of there being very few Laura players out there: for all the matches I’ve played grinding out these CPT wins, the first Laura I ran into was the one I had at the end of this session. He did a bunch of random VSkill dashes and hit buttons, but the second he got hit it was curtains. I can understand not knowing meaties for anyone else but damn man you should know when you can and can’t press with your own character.
Also case in point he dipped after losing the first game.
This CPT grind is showing how inconsistent I am. I’m rolling all over the place in terms of results, though at least I’m settling back to about the same point each session (which honestly I can’t complain about considering how up and down I go). The good parts are that I feel like there are matches where I am really in control and know what I’m doing, and those usually go quite well. The bad is that I still fall for a lot of gimmicks (though at least now they don’t irritate me as much, some even get a clap) and I think I’m just generally too antsy/get flustered when I feel like I’m not making headway in the match.
Still though it is fun to play in general. All the loses to dumb shit and brain farts get mentally equaled out when you have that one game where do the cool thing. 
I’ll claw my ass up to Platinum one of these months.

The thing is, FM was never supposed to be the ONLY currency. There was going to be another currency to be used with real money. But, in all their usual competency, they never were able to finish it to use it properly hence why we were basically able to use Alex for free for about a month instead of just one week. Eventually they abandoned the second currency, and they haven’t figured out how to use FM properly since.

Dang I really like kage… didn’t expect this.
He feels like I’m playing street fighter proper… but with the BS of sf5.
Not sure if they can re balance characters of past season to feel like this but good stuff with Kage capcom.

I’ll be around. My Christmas plans are earlier in the afternoon and aside from wanting to try to grind out the last 8 Ranked wins so I don’t have to play that fucking mode for a couple of weeks, my late afternoon/evening should be free.
We can get a Seasons Beatings lobby going.
