This is true. Putting the shades on and trying to take one or 2 top players out with your lower tier is good for ratings as well. Definitely an extra niche than just being the top player with the top character.

I just get frustrated trying to chase people down. It’s like bam, I destroy them and their “footsies” in neutral. Then all I get to do for the rest of the games playtime is chase these fuckers down and play the “will you jump or dash or unreactable ranged ground move” game.
It’s fucking annoying like I have to play artificial ass neutral in order to play neutral. The only time people move forward once I beat them at neutral is if I back off… so I have to back off to play neutral… but I’ve never played neutral like that. I always either maintain space or go forward. Only time I back off is when I’m getting outplayed and then all I do is reset spacing, not move out to the outer edges of fucking reality where nothing and no one can hurt me…

I’m.iterally chasing people down and doing raw sweeps and pokestrings like cr.lkx2,cr.mk and they still won’t fucking stop running.

This is why I can’t play anyone with slow walkspeed. Niggas either running away or jumping.
Sakura, boxer and Kage let me walk that dumb shit to corner and keep them there.

Just realized how fast guile’s walk speed is. If anything on him should be nerfed they should hit his ass there. It’s bs only Chun, y Zeku, Sakura and claw are faster than him. He’s tied with ibuki and akuma.

I love how I got a $50 PSN gift card for Christmas and the one costume I really want is gated behind lootboxes.

And small stages and good lows and safe specials to cancel into.
If Capcom adds a “run” function ala CvS2 the slow walk speeds will be irrelevant and the big stages will become small again. /logic

Thankfully SFV’s aren’t tied to real money, you can only get them with FM

I wish it was more like how it is in Guilty Gear/Blazblue where you earned the in-game currency by the bucketload and could either spend a very paltry sum for random chances at getting colors/artwork/other extra items, or spend more of the same in-game currency for a specific item. Though with being able to use FM on DLC items, Capcom would never go for something like that, without splitting the currency or something.

Depends on the groove. CAP grooves don’t have runs. C and A only have dashes so you either have to have a good dash or a dumb roll like Iori. P groove has the worst movement of all of the grooves cuz no roll and no run. It has parries though so my fav and can always play character with OD walk or dash like Vega.
honestly that’s how it should be. Mentioned it a couple of years ago, but this game should just reward you with FM for playing just to keep you engaged. Its what the F2P games do too.
Its kinda silly because the FM system lets them do a lot. They could’ve easily done in game tournaments that you pay FM to join for special colors and other silly nonsense, but instead they leave everything lazy and shitty.

Yeah but 4500FM per box is a bit steep for me. I tried 4 times and 3 of them were bum ass colors for characters I don’t play and the other one was scarless Sagat (which is cool but again I don’t play him). That’s 18k right there.
I just want OG Vega ffs. Capcom fucking my character in the cosmetics department too.
