I’ve only played against will2pac’s Kage and it seems that Akuma wins the matchup.
His Kage is pretty bad though, I expected more from Laura main.

Kage so good I keep losing to him in mirror matches because we’re both going fucking ham and doing stupid shit. Like I don’t think anyone trying to LEARN Kage per say, everyone I’ve ran into are just tryinig to buss ass. I’ve probably ran into one super diamond that had demon set ups down pact.
Akuma - Kage is Akuma favour, Akuma does most things Kage can do but better already.

I’ve only fought one Kage so far and he was laggy as hell so I left after first match. PC to PC so obviously something had to be up with his interwebz.
I watch this guy sometimes cuz he keeps me up on the twitter monster crap without having to actually use twitter.
Apparently on twitter people were freaking out that Gief’s V Skill backdash was going to break the game LOL. Gief’s backdash is slow as hell. Back to staying away from twitter.

So far I don’t think Kage depletes Akuma’s existence either. It’s still fucking Akuma. But if Kage touches you that might be it, and visa versa. Akuma neutral is still too good.
I just had an Akuma player drop on me so obviously the nerfs are too much.
Looking forward to a Ken player dropping on me.
Akuma is better than Kage so I don’t see how he’ll delete his existence anyways

Yesterday I had a 2hrs training mode with Zeku before bed, the lasts 2 weeks were terrible at work and I didn’t have time to labbing seriously since the patch dropped. Overall Old Zeku has benefited the buffs in an unexpected way for me, the Young nerfs are just too light to bother. Finally OZ V-Skill becomes useful and his neutral improvements helps. I’ve still some work to do at controlling Old 100%, but Zeku overall could be a problem next year.

He’s still really good to me and will definitely remain top 5 IMO. The only thing that really stands out to me is the EX DF slide being -2. Can’t abuse that like before anymore.
Been playing a lot of Ryu recently because Kage’s lack of zoning is a turn off to me. He still has some glaring issues but he seems pretty doable this year with his current buffs. Even if Daigo doesn’t main Ryu, I think he will have a bit more visibility in next years CPT. At least he seems like a legit mid tier now.
