Kage should be a fun character for Kazu to mess around with. Very tech/setup driven and he does better with those types of characters being anime background. Ginon has been messing with new VT2 which is cool, but still mainly doing fake mix ups that are easy to reaction punish. Probably not terrible to use vs Boxer since once you get 2 bars you get arguably one of the best punishes in the game vs any bad spaced LP dash punch

Standing HK from sak is 12 frames unless they actually nerfed it recently, frame data is telling me 12 frames. And it makes sense, feels faster than your average crush counter to fight against
Ah ok yeah it is 12 frame start up. Yeah 12 frame start up with the pushback does make it pretty strong. Only real issue with it then would be the whiff recovery (definitely laggy), but if you’re whiffing that move with her walk speed you can’t play footsies any way.
It was an easy to obtain 2500FM, put behind a token task that took around a minute and which anyone could clear. Useful for breaking even when doing costume Extra Battles as well.
If this is a long-term change, rather than a one-off, then this is honestly a pretty big cut. The current set of missions, along with estimating the next two 2-day missions, look like they’ll total around 1250FM. I think it previously was around 4-5000FM? (Mind, it was twice even that originally, before AE cut it to fund Extra Battle payouts.)
Yeah I’m just generally past worrying about the FM. They’re obviously being stingy with it because easier to make money if people use cash.
With that said, I’ll still wait for whatever grand announcement they have for how this season’s characters and FM roll out. I only have 2 characters that I regularly play and buy costumes for and I just pull out the cash for their shit. That’s probably why I don’t splurge on any character or do anything else other than buy characters.
Pretty sure Capcom wants to do away with FM entirely so this the way they’re doing it. They promised it from the outset so they have to stick it out but other games are getting away with selling DLC for real money. SF6 there won’t be any FM at all.
I was watching youtube of UltraChen and apparently Ultra David and some of his chat monsters agreed with you about Menat’s VT1 staying 2 bars. They said they thought it was an interesting trigger and nerfing it to 3 bars means they don’t get to see Menat do fun stuff as often. I’m not even sure if anyone else here thinks that way, but good to know the twitch/media verse does.
I mean I think Menat looks pretty fun enough to play even before the trigger. Very diverse character that has strong simple neutral but also very tech based offense and neutral. It’s like having an anime character and 3S Chun in the same character. She can work for a lot of people because she isn’t the typical complicated animu character that you only get rewarded for if you’re a lab monster.
