I don’t know about the placements (some seem off) but I think five six tiers are too many for S4. Just mix point 2 and 3 together and point 4, 5 and 6 together for a three-level tier list. I don’t think the gaps are big enough to warrant splitting the lower half like they did. I mean how do you even begin to convince someone who’s better between Chun, Juri or Nash?
Edit: ok, Cody and Kage aren’t part of the list. Makes more sense then interpreting them being bottom 2.

Yeah bottom tier is effectively the “we don’t know yet” tier. That’s how they do it.
Except for S2 when Laura was C tier for who knows what reason. They never gave Laura any respect and then she got blown up lol.

Seeing the man in the suit do a fist pump at the end was great. All business and then the Tiger Woods comes out for the victory.
Cody is definitely better than Kage. Probably goes in their third grouping. Kage stays where he is or moves up one spot

Most interesting thing about the tier list is that they haven’t shot Karin into top 5 like near everybody else on social media. Even more interesting that Cammy is in a tier above Karin with only one other character.
Cammy is still Cammy. Just have to land more bnbs to keep your oki going and c.LP and s.LK still lead to stupid ass c.LK strings that constantly clip you trying to walk backwards. If you stay there you most likely taking white chip from medium spam, then taking throw and pushing yourself closer to corner. Still has arguably the best neutral for her archetype and EX dive kick still leads to mid screen 50/50s on hit.
Falke shits on that bitch ass punk Cody, like it should be.
For real though, this tier list is all kinds of weird. Birdie is not that strong, they’re being very optimistic about Gief, they’re being very pessimistic about G and there’s no way in hell Cody is that weak.
Yeah there’s no way Cody should be in undiscovered tier. This is more of that we can’t make our mind up about S2 Laura/think she’s bad crap.
It’s ok to be pessimistic about G. Japanese highly value defensive options. If you don’t have 3 frame, EX reversal or armor they bring you down hard. They won’t believe in G.

@deviljin_01 She definitely still solid. Makes me wonder why so many of the top Cammy players dropped her. Verloren, NL, and CJ Truth don’t even touch the character anymore.
I think its also sort of the Cody/Laura problem of not having anyone who is ride or die with the character that is part of the competitive circuit.
G is still kinda new so this is gonna be the first real year anyone reps him and out of any big names I only know of Nemo who would qualify for that - Strider and Smug are worthless gaijin - and he probably isn’t going to main G this season or anything like that.

LOL. CPT gets people shook. Mena was saying that “Birdie wasn’t his main character” after CPT 2017 and was playing Akuma for a bit also. He had some woe is me crap on twitter for a while, but of course the Japanese still fear Godzilla.
I assume Verloren, NL and gang are messing with Kage or Ryu or whatever online lol. CJ Truth was originally a Karin main any way so all of the top 5 Karin talk I’m sure has him already swimming back to her.
Verloren has actually been playing Ibuki, Rashid, and Akuma for the most part. NL has been playing with Akuma and Rashid. CJ Truth was running Akuma, Rashid, and some Karin. Akuma and Rashid seem to be common characters amongst them.

Well I can’t blame them. Ibuki, Akuma and Rashid are the clear as day top tier. Like if the tiers end up being another S3 top 5 deal, they are the go to. They’ll likely be the S3 Cammy where you just see them a whole bunch even though there are other top 5/10 characters.
Gotta bandwagon when you get nerfs (ie Punk).

I really wish Idom was sponsored. He and Shakz are the only Laura players of note. Neither of them, especially Idom, travel very much. At least Shakz shows up to Euro events.
