I mean why is he excited that ryu got some buffs (which definitely is agreed by more knowledgeable players than me that it’ll make him maybe high mid tier not top tier) and he can play a character he loves while giving him more of a chance of getting better results and he’s not excited that Bison is number one free and just main bison? Or cammy, after all she’s still gonna be way better than ryu? Or abi? Or menat? How about ibuki? My guess?? He preferable likes the shoto fireball zoning like characters.

He played Sol because he already knew the basics of him from when he played him #R (where Sol was also top tier).
HF has Edition select and he plays CE Guile, who is literally broken.
ST is N.Ryu and Rog, who’re both Top Tier.
CvS2 is 2 teams, Guile is definitly Top (just outright of Top5) with C-Groove and he’s Sagats hardcounter.
Also he plays Cammy, Bison, Sagat,Vega there, who are all Top 5 or Top 10 at the very minimum.
Cammy is actually the best char in CvS2.
SFIV is mainly Ryu, with some Guile during SSFIV and then E.Ryu in Ultra. Top,High/Top,High-Mid, Top appropriate.
Stop trying to bend this argument around, he is a tier whore.
Sol was during xrd much better than Ky too.
Ky by now is likely #1 or #3 at the very minimum.
