The thing is I’m actually using st.HK as an AA against Gief and it works pretty well but for some reason I can’t land it against Abigail. I don’t know if it’s his jump animation, his hurtbox or that ridiculous j.HK that work in his favour.
As far as reaction using it goes you’re going to have to use s.HK from a good distance to prepare for him jumping forward. Plus it keeps you at distance where you’re still relatively safe. Once he gets around s.MP range then yeah s.HK won’t be great to do on reaction unless you throw a fireball first.
It’s easy to anti air Gief because Gief has a standard jump and one of the slower standard jumps. Abi has a shallow jump that gives you less time to react and lets him land deep jump ins earlier in the air than other characters. You have to have him spaced well so you can earn better reactionary AA’s.
His jump HK is like Dudley’s in that it’s designed to be part of the neutral and not something you can AA on reaction everytime. Just have to keep your spacing good so you can minimize how often he can do it in situations where you have to block it or can’t react to it.

26 frame is one frame faster than Sagats high tiger.
It would complete change the character into to like a weird hybrid zoner that’s like scorpion from mortal Kombat only on more powerful drugs.
Particularly since his AA is brain dead. Give the fella a slap.
Edit: ah you mean start up not recovery. Mmm, not sure it would be OP powerful, but I get what he’s saying. He doesn’t want it to be in the range where you can jump in on reaction to it.

As an example of the kind of Xanax he’s on, Ed’s vt2 is 26 frames of startup and no one jumps that on reaction any kind of consistently. He’s basically asking for an ex dr that requires no charge and no meter. Imagine if Mika’s charged st.hk was 9 frames faster than it currently is.
Outclassed in every area , you’d have to be judging G based on his trigger and I’m not sure how people feel about giving match up points for trigger only wins…or rando dash into trigger.
Also there’s a potential that Sagats canon can nullify Gs plasma that he’d use in trigger mode which I’ve used a couple times.

It’s not invincible. Most of the time it gets beaten or it’s going to trade. You anti air them only if they misspaced the jump

I actually acted in an indie remake of Lars And The Real Girl lead role a few years back. It was great fun. Was working with students who just graduated after 4 years of film making school.
Will be attending a masterclass in musical theatre course in a few months time. I wanna do Phantom Of The Opera one day. lol. It’s my dream to perform in Broadway. Or Off-Broadway. lol.

I think G does well if the Sagat player is throwing shots at ranges where G can full on no guess react with vskill
If Sagat plays in the range where G has to guess vskills, Sagat can whiff punish misses from half screen with Kara DP.
Then the match plays out to neutral, where I think Sagat wins, and to if G gets rolling with vtrigger or not.

I’ve almost forgot this year is also 3s 20th anniversary. Atm we have just 3 original characters from that game, I wouldn’t be surprised to see another 3 coming up in S4, the only problem is who from that game. I’m not worried about Oro and Makoto, but the possible third one, if Capcom will consider the muhfucker with the blue baseball cap we’re doomed already.
Divekicks suck in this game so I’m not too worried about Yun being added
