nah it ain’t that, it was him actually contesting my returned plasma correctly.
Most GM level Gats I play throw plasma, let me contest freely and I can walk up into st.hk/ex.zonk threat range, if you throw a tiger shot and then wait for Cody to return plasma after the block to try and contest the follow-up, try a jump, even if blocked you take a considerable amount of the screen back and the walkdown has to start all over.
Yeah it’s hard to call them real GM Sagats. Sagat came out like months ago so they were obviously maining someone else before him. It’s not like their Sagat brought them to grandmaster. They’re just dudes that decided to play Sagat and grind him a bit.
Also, LMK if you still down to play after I get done eating.
No, im just saying its an aussie thing for zoners to jump when you get a handle on their fireball. In cali i didnt play against that much. It feels like a uniquely regional thing. Sure it may have applications in the matchup, but he does it against me as well, and so do other zoners. I personally feel like its the best way to play zoners in sf5… all plasma and its easy to read and get through eventually. As good as highland is, if all he did was chuck plasma at me, winning wouldnt be hugely difficult. So… its a good strategy in my momd but i see much more from aussies than anywhere else. But maybe im wrong, who knows.
I play often against Turkish Sagat that jumps a lot.
But the thing is, he knows when to do it. I must admit that I get angry when I get hit by a full jump-in combo.
They jumpin when they know you are near 100% focused on their fireball. I can look for both but i still get caught out, and having to look for bith makes my reaction to either, sub par, but doable, but hard to maintain over the course of many rounds or just long rounds…
When I realized I had no one to play because the netcode is shit, so I can’t play y’all and ranked/casuals is just infuriating because people play on McDonald’s WiFi.
Akuma traditionally controls the air. If it wasn’t for his low health and a few other things he’d probably beat Chun in 3S.
In IV Chun Li was always known as the galaxy brain AA character that had to learn 10 different grounded AA’s and then vs Akuma still had to go air to air to get him out of the air. I remember Chun Li players hated fighting Akuma in IV as well. Especially pre Ultra when first knockdown was spin around your head time.
Chun has always been too honest. They punished her dark ages days with over honesty and only got one year back with S1 Chun.
Originally Decapre was going to be on the base roster. Due to the USFIV reveal backlash, they scrambled an added Cammy. Then they made Gief to be the Russia representative since Decapre was removed. It’s why the UK had Birdie and Cammy at launch. Given that they have done so much work on the character, she was like 80% done, I wouldn’t be surprised to see her. She was only missing a V-Syatem, Rapid Dagger, and Critical Art. The only more “complete” character than her was Juli. She had all her SFA3 moves, she just lacked a CA and her V-System.
