Twin’s possibilities were postulated before he could even realize it.

Also, did I just catch you tryna frame trap with Cr. MP into St. HP?

That’s a 6f gap son, the fuck you tryna pressure with this fake stuff?

Edit: The whole sequence was a mess.

Twin hit him with a Cr. LP then did a Cr. MP for whatever reason. That ain’t a combo. Did you mess up the CH confirm? That’s the only reason you should’ve pressed Cr. MP there.

First night in Europe was good. Apart from Frosty bottling it , I played a heap of good games with only maybe 5 minute waits which is pretty decent. Got a few masters, few Ultra diamonds, good standard. Even got a T bagging Mika…which I dizzied then T bagged back for the clean win. Not been T bagged in a long time lol.

Anyone up for it tomorrow in the UK or America if you think it’s playable, hit me up!

I usually don’t wait longer than 2 minute for a match on east coast US.

I’ll look for you tomorrow. Decided to work for a bit tonight.

I’m wondering if we can get some sort of community project going:

“Meaty both rises”

Basically log all of the interactions (that we know of) where both rises can be automeatied with the same timing. Would be a good resource, I know a fair few characters have them, but which characters off of which knockdowns with which moves, I don’t know. It’s something good to be aware of.

What are some good Ibuki’s too watch? I’m really struggling against characters with far reaching pokes. I’m not used to having shorter buttons than my opponent so I really gotta change my approach. I get totally dunked on by characters like Falke and Chun.

I only watched one Ibuki and it was the one that won the most majors this year. Worked well enough for me. Xian works too.

Against those types of characters you just have to use a lot of V Skill and fish for a counter poke like s.LK or c.MP. Your goal isn’t really to engage in long term poking battles but to fish inbetween their pokes with something that can confirm into knockdown or standing reset. When you’re too far out for that then you wanna have EX kunai ready to threaten their ground game and get in. Which you mix the threat of that in with other aerial stuff like jump LP/MP kunai, HK command dash, parasail etc.

You used to play Laura and it’s not like she has long buttons either (well not ones you can regularly throw in neutral) so you’ll likely find out there’s similarities in the counter poke game once you learn the tools.

I played Laura for like one week because I could turbo s.mk and win games

Yeah Ibuki’s V Skill is basically a more subtle take of what you did with Laura’s s.MK. Learn to use it well with your v trigger vs the big ranged characters. That, c.MP, s.LK and s.HK will help you the most.

Basically you want to land something that can convert into set play and set play them down. You have shorter buttons but your shorter buttons can lead to shit that doesn’t let them play the game for a while so focus on getting that hit and not letting them play.

Yeah set play is the only way i can win against them. I just struggle with getting in.

Idk what the patch did, but Ibuki’s VS is still stupid good. It’s the only way i can fight against those characters.

Also now that you mention it i never use EX Kunai. I feel like the explosion always misses them. I mainly use knives for fullscreen kills and swag VT2 combos.

The patch just makes it so a couple more supers can punish far blocked v skill. Spaced well most characters still can’t do shit other than preemptively counter poke it. If you’re whiffing it it can be whiff punished but the whole point of the move is not to whiff it.

You’re going to have to use air EX kunai soon if you want to really get better with her. It’s too important to her gameplan especially vs strong fireball characters. Doesn’t take too long to learn the spacing it works at. If it misses you did it too close to them basically (sometimes the opponent will purposely walk forward/dash at it to coerce this)

@MochaLatte Your fellow Ken scrub says good video again X3

As for the Ken target combo inconsistency, I think it’s solely because of the extra cancel frames they gave it. I forget which update it was, but whichever one that made it so bmp -> hp can be done on whiff made it so you could delay the cancel even longer. So if you do crmp, bmp -> hp and delay the 2nd target combo hit until the last possible frame or so, the opponent is still moving backwards due to pushback and it ends up missing. Same reason HP DP sometimes doesn’t get the first hit off of it, opponent just ended up too far away. Easy to fix though, just expand the hitbox of the target combo forward and have Ken’s centerpoint moved forward when you cancel it so all 3 hits of HP DP always connect.

…in case you cared about the technical reason at all

Recently I’ve been obsessed with retro filters or VHS effects, if you will. I decided to start a YouTube channel to showcase my creations. I don’t know whether this would appeal to you guys on SRK, but it’s wholly Street Fighter V related.

Reminds me of the old B5 Alpha 2 videos.

Like that the sounds are very VHS also. All you need is the 480p square tv box ratio
