Okay but to compare their usage is really dumb as they aren’t used similarly. Birdie doesn’t lose anything for choosing not to use the can in MUs he doesn’t have the room to. He has a full toolkit without it, so if he’s playing Boxer or Alex he can just choose to not use the can. And can usage is infrequent comparatively so tagging it once a round is way harder.
Juri loses half of her kit, she loses her oki ender, she loses her neutral control within LK fuha, and as soon as Juri expends these within a combo or blockstring she needs to store up to 3 again to have that available.
There’s an incredibly clear difference in why Juri’s are problematic, in that they aren’t a choice and are required frequently.
As a final roundup, Alex can now cancel into vskill, Uriens VS isn’t required much at all, and Sagat can set up safe VS opportunities behind fireballs. Juri can’t set up safe neutral stores without expending stores, lmao.
Another ‘Juri is bad’ loop and I’m not involved this time, probably next year will be my lucky one. @amrraed my brotha, run before it’s too late.

Risk becomes apparent when you are required to whiff said move more than 10 times in one round. Ibuki throwing out one sthk and getting off a stlp after the whiff is hard to compare.

Yeah, the Juri circle jerk is strong here. You would think that Juri and Falke are the most popular characters in the game based on how people talk here. Feels detached from reality.

Juri’s store strength depends on the matchup. Like vs characters that aren’t very mobile and don’t have great horizontal crash tools, once she gets the first LK fireball stored she can pretty much control neutral the rest of the round and force you to forward jump/neutral jump LK fireballs that will set up free anti airs.
Then it’s the other half of the cast that can punish her stores on read/reaction and can horizontal move trade/beat her fireball that make the fireballs suddenly less powerful. Those are matchups where you have to do a lot more s.MK and s.HK pressing to get safe LK stores.
Problem with Juri is the upper half of the cast tend to have tools that disrespect her store game pretty easily.

I just came back to see if Highland was sober enough to play. That doesn’t seem to be the case so might as well keep talking about Juri
Dropped gravy on my pants while having my supper and I could walk upstairs to my bedroom to change to a new pair of pants but I decided to continue eating and walking around the house without pants.
