So I was gonna post a set of videos from a FT3 in ranked match that I had against an UGM Bison player. But I ran into that guy again Sunday and he thrashed me pretty good. I still held my own a little better than I’ve done in the past but he got me good. He’s been playing extra lame against me since that last set I took from him which has opened up a new can of worms in regards to how I need to beat him. So I’m not gonna post those videos right now. I’m gonna actually watch the replays and study what’s happening and then try my best to collect info and post my thoughts. This will probably be my first time doing this here and I’m pretty sure some dumb shit will come out of my mouth so if you old heads have some critics I’ll be all ears. Something about this Bison though… I feel like this guy is like the last boss from Chrono Trigger that I ran into too early. I gotta lab this because I think this might be my gateway to leveling up in the Bison MU and in the game in general. Expect this by the end of this week.

She loses majority of matchups but she doesn’t have landslide losses
Chun, Akuma, Urien, Boxer, Bison, Cammy, Sakura, Kolin, Karin, Vega, Alex, Rashid and more are disadvantage or minor disadvantage.
She beats Gief and Laura pretty confidently.
as much as I agree with Juri being easily mid tier and above I don’t really see how that damage is so good, a lot of characters get that kind of damage without having to whiff 2 special moves in front of their opponents or giving up oki or pressure for them.
I mean, yeah Juri with stores hit as hard as Ken but how’s that amazing?

The almost part is kinda debatable. This poor Discord copy is a bit too hard of a fall.
Bad defense sucks, but let’s be real, it hurts a lot more when KD’s mean your specials are getting gutted and you need to lose oki/damage/pretty much any good resource to get them back.
G’s issue is that unless he gets some momentum early on the match, he’s getting shitted on for the rest of it. Even basic footsies like Ryu’s St. LK xx L Tatsu/Donkey are legit threats to him.
The lack of defense just makes his KD weakness a lot more exploitable and brings a set of new weaknesses for him to deal with.

Bad defense is only a problem when a character is easily put on the back foot, Menats defense is bad but it isn’t an issue because its difficult to put her in a bad position.
It matters a lot on G because he’s fairly easy to put in a defending position. But the tradeoff for it is that G by design is supposed to be momentum based. He has high corner carry and lvl3 can take a round in one hit.

uh? I agree with some of these but Ken? He walks almost as fast as her, has a better dash, hits as hard as a full stocked Juri and gets better oki from his B&Bs…

Gief, Abigail, G, Chun, ken and Nash have more heavily losing matchups compared to Juri.
Juri mains’ faces when reading the patch notes and realizing that even Ryu got buffs and Juri is still on the same boat with the wack stores.
Backdash 3 times at round start so you can get a bootleg Tatsu brehs.

By that logic Ryu is better than Abigail because Ryu doesn’t have many landslide MUs and they’re majority 5-5s.
