Lounges work when you play to actually learn. Problem with FGs is that people trying improve is that without active feedback, its easy to fall into “trying to do the same shit I was doing but better” situation. People keep playing the same way and don’t actually make meaningful changes to their gameplay.
Actually most of those BL matches are with people who AREN’T here XD
Main point though was not playing players who are better than myself, which leads to easier stagnation. Hence my going out and asking for matches from Doctrine and DJ and so on. Need a better balance of helping people get better and helping myself, I guess.

Yeah if you aren’t improving you aren’t learning and don’t know how to apply what you’ve learned. You have to learn how to learn in fighting games and if you don’t know that you’re out.

I can relate but sadly my locals are kinda spread so a lot of my locals do online gatherings if that makes sense. You party chat and start doing lounges, etc,etc
That’s why i have so much more lounge games over everything else.
