Man, I might just end up liking S4 Akuma more than S3 Akuma. Despite the nerfs, most notably to his VT1 and his EX demon flip slide, I’m really liking his red fireball buffs. I’m guilty as charged when it comes to abusing the EX slide being +2 and throwing all the VT1 air fireballs that I can, but those nerfs don’t really bother me and I can easily adjust to the changes.
I’m really enjoying using the red fireballs though. The light one now combos from st. MP which has good reach and the gap is small enough to beat 3f’ers. In the corner he has a easy mode corner shimmy by just back dashing and doing st. MP > LP red fireball. If it hits then confirm into sweep or EX DP. With the MP and HP shaku being -4 on block now I’m just using Akuma’s good walk speed and his godly st. MK to walk forward and do st. MK > MP shaku and pretty much be safe from 95% of the moves in this game.
Yes there is a huge gap in that block string, but I’m going to keep abusing it as long as people let me. And if someone shows me they’ll interrupt it, I’ll just switch to the light version which will beat 3f’ers and still make me relatively safe as long as I don’t do it at point blank range. Now I’m not saying he’s better, but he might be more to my liking. If you were to ask me right now, I would actually take S4 Akuma over S3.5 version.
Styling on fools is never useless. Scroll all the way up and look at that Yun combo. Its named Keeper Jin, after the guy who made it (who was a Ken player hilariously enough). Look how godlike that thing is.
You see what that combo says? It says:
I own that ass free watch me crank this execution.
Never forget that confidence is a large part of fighting games. As such doing things to intimidate your opponent play a role in it too.
From that position Zeku can use a specific combo, more damaging and without CH as a first attack. Stylin’ on fools is the first reason I’ve choice Zeku, but that fancy combo is easy to drop with little damage in return, the scaling is off the charts.
Man it really fucking pisses me off capcom can’t get shit right. I do perfectly spaced max range CC and can’t fucking hit any confirm off of it. That’s fucking BS.
