so doa gameplay stream got cut off?
naw the main exhibition was before that happened. I was watching on openrec so I didn’t see the cutoff happen so I don’t know exactly when the plug got pulled. They were basically just shilling PC stuff while showing dead or alive photo mode.

Jade gameplay looks dope. Wouldn’t have guessed that her and Scarlet would be the characters I’d be most interested in but hey neat.
DOA6 continues to look neat. Love that super demo announcement. Hopefully I can spend some time with that and get a better grasp on the franchise.
Looking forward to watching EVO Japan stuff this weekend. Apparently unless it involves depravity. That is right out. The people responsible for the DOA6 photo mode demonstration have been sacked.

I think I partly spurred that tweet on since I didn’t quite agree games needed broken shit to attract players.
She needs a better way to force the opponent’s hand in pressure. Virtually all her options to do this require a knockdown or VTC and the reward isn’t as scary as something like G’s command grab/st. MP option. Even EX fireball is a toss up as to whether you’ll get pressure if the opponent blocks it.
I know myself and many others asked for a better throw range for starters. @Dime suggested HK Legs knockdown, I actually think it might be cooler to keep them standing but leave her point blank and + 2 on hit. That’ll definitely get people panicking/keep them on their toes.
Also her mid-range conversion game is a little weak. No matter how good her pokes are, if they don’t hurt and aren’t actually + on block then who is really afraid of it? You can do a lot of work whittling someone down with her pokes (might even get lucky and get a CH st. MP to EX Legs), but then someone like Kolin just sneaks in a st. MP xx EX hands from her mid range and puts you on your ass and suddenly all that work is evened out and you’re at a disadvantage on the defense (and we haven’t even gotten to the robbery V-trigger part yet).
I actually like her overall package in S4 despite those things missing and am having a lot of fun with her, but I think to do better competitively she needs a consistent SFV-like option.
The part that double cracks me up is it is a goofy picture angle…in DOA6 (“that tiddy game what with the fighting”)…at EVO Japan, and its not like Japan doesn’t fucking loooooooove some depravity (even if it isn’t publicly acknowledged, which does put them on the same wavelength as Americans). If anything I’m surprised the stream wasn’t nothing but them setting up faux-lewd pictures for like an hour.
Know the series is full of pervy nonsense.
Let them have the stage with live models.
