Well he lets you apply alot of the same sort of pressure you are already good at with Ed, but with a command grab.
I have a question though, and I’m not trying to sound whiny. But how come I can’t throw you? From what i can see, the biggest weakness in my game at the moment is that my offense is garbage, when I get my opening I rarely do anything with it. It seems when I throw you tech, and if I do anything but a pure frame trap I get jabbed. What am I missing in applying pressure in this game?
Like I said, I know that sound whiny, but I’m at a loss trying to figure out what I’m doing wrong.
Basically, but with worse walkspeed and no reversal. He is fun though at least, something to bring out if I get bored with Ed during a long session or something
It’s funny you say that 'cause I have the exact same issue against @Frost and a lot of online randoms. It’s just knowing your opponent’s tendencies and the options you can use to counter them.
But basically all I had to do was delay tech if you were up close, and if you got pushed out farther I could just jab your or delay tech again, since you never shimmied once. Also leave too large of gaps between strings and trying to only walk forward instead of hitting me with something, I was never conditioned to do otherwise 'cause I was never punished for it.
If they’re delay teching, shimmy them, if they’re delay jabbing, do tight (but not frame tight) staggers. If they’re just mashing do a true frame trap to beat that, and if you feel you’ve conditioned them to stop pressing stuff you can walk forward and just throw them (or walk forward button, if you feel they’ll try and jab in response, it’s why I do walk forward stmp or crmp with Ed so much in the corner).
Just gotta keep playing and get used to it. I’d say first thing though is to get used to shimmying, 90% of players you run into will probably delay tech like crazy (like I do) so it’s free damage. Easier with Young Zeku though
I still haven’t decided what I’m doing about chars but I will always send psychic energy to a fellow Citizen of Earth. Light em up If nothing else G can be very fun.
The shimmy advice is on point in general, speaking as someone having the same issues FlyingVe talks about. It’s one of the mid level hurdles I still get stuck on despite telling myself to try it periodically (I also keep playing slow walk speed chars which makes me nervous on the shimmy).
I am being told on twitter that the highest ranked woman in Brazil is also in platinum right now.
Just where everything went so wrong that we couldn’t even have one female diamond level player here?
I’m surprised Brazil can get any player to Diamond regardless of sex… then again you do have to play people in the same region so it works itself out I guess.
Pretty sure it’s just consistency and nothing else
If one non-EX DP is subject to CC, they all are regardless of invincibility, so you don’t block one and wonder why it didn’t CC. At least, that’s the logic I assume Capcom is using
