Yeah not even a flake here yet but supposedly it is gonna get kinda ugly tomorrow. So I guess they were just being pre-emptive. I’m certainly not gonna complain.
Its funny how Necalli’s V-Trigger is so tame nowadays.
Remember when it was broken because it didn’t drain lol
Remember when they made it timed?
Good times. Didn’t last long.
It’s not tame its just that 3bars is too slow for most now lmao
Well at least she can punish Rashids dumb shit, with Sagat I kinda just gota let him do what he wants.
Plus Rashid cr mp prolly isn’t that great against dive kicks.
Punk pretty much dismantled oilking so Rashid obviously struggles a little when you’ve got big boy buttons.
Karin can VR all of Rashids extensions, forcing him to spend a bar, and then go into a meaty +1 shoulder from it. It fucks with Rashids stuff a fair bit.
You gotta remember that a fair bit of that dismantling is the fact that oil king couldn’t ever wiff a cr.hp against punk.
That’s huge and it completely changes the matchup from what normal players get to do. It’s like playing against sakos optimal, multiple 1 frame link ibuki, versus someone that can’t do those extensions that loses about 200 damage per bnb.
Completely different matchup.
It’s going to be just as easy to fuck with Rashids cr.hp when you’ve got cr.mk and dive kick with Cammy and just as good walk speed.
I don’t see why it’s easier for one over the other. Cammys v-reversal is arguably better since you’re out for free.
I’ve saw Cammy drill whirlwinds also.
Well divekick is a guess, so, idk if that can be compared. But, if you can consistently wiff punish his cr.hp with cr.mk… more power to you. Doesn’t seem hard in the general scheme of things, even I can wiff punish it… but that’s not really the entire issue. Wiff punishing while still being able t p,ay the game and stop dashes and jumps, is the game. Though tbh punk was allowing the jumps to get through and still wn easily.
It’s not even about being consistent, delay dive kick is going to screw with Rashids AA and the option of cr.mk is enough to make Rashid at least respect the ground.
I think CJ truth beat oil king this year also and he’s not as good as Punk.
@Evil_Canadian so monkey man, I feel some sort of interest in DoA, but I know nothing about the cast, and I usually pick up a game only if someone in the cast seems interesting enough (is the reason I never really got into tekken and why I skipped SC, Arcana heart and Million Arthur and at the same time the whole reason why I picked up UNIST after seeing Yuzuriha and BBCF after seeing Bullet).
Do you plan on maybe doing a video where you briefly go over the roster and their fighting styles?
actually I did have something like that in mind although im not sure if it goes up before or after release
That said what exactly are you looking for in a character? Some people win by just going full offense blender, some people win off forcing you to play passive, some people win off the big single read, and some people have crazy gimmicks etc etc.
That said there are characters that are usually just a bit better than everyone else, you effectively can’t go wrong with Hayabusa/Tina/Eliot
I don’t usually pick my character based on they play style but based on how they look, I play zoners rushdown grapplers as long as they are appealing visually. That said, the things I like my characters to do are acrobatic kicks, palm strikes, acrobatic grapples and I am kind of a sucker that one move where you do a shoulder tackle but mostly using your back… No idea how you call that in english but VF Akira’s tetsuzankou is what I am referring to.
So I prefer my character moves to feel fast and precise rather than powerful.
Of course I am not expecting to find all of tgese things in 1 character but like 2 out of 4 and I might be game
Who’s the plain-ass “simple and great at fundamentals, so everyone calls your character boring”-character? You know, the SFV Cammy / SFIV Fei / T7 Kazumi / SC6 Seong Mina etc of the game?
Alright well that’s an easy enough answer then. You wanna play Kasumi or Kokoro. Maybe a side dish of La Mariposa or Ayane if you wanna get into odder playstyles.
Kokoro has that akira move you mentioned.
Then I’ll try them this weekend in the open beta, except Ayame. And according to what Edmund said I’ll focus on Kokoro.
Looking forward to that video. For DOA I have chars that I’ve always liked the look of but a) fuck if I know how any of them actually play, and b) I honestly don’t know what kind of char I’d like to play in that game even if I knew.
