I played a Nash earlier that kept neutral jumping my tick throws. This caught me off guard and helped me lose the 1st game. In the next two games almost every time I had a chance I would purposely set up the situation just so I could AA his neutral jump.
I’m very well aware that I could have gotten more damage by hitting him before he became airborne. But I wanted to blow up his neutral jumps more than anything else. And it kind of took over as the focus whenever I got up close knockdown pressure.
Sometimes that just happens. I still want to win, but I also really want to prove to my opponent that I can do a certain thing or shut down a certain option. It wasn’t optimal but it felt good.

Fun fact white people think all black people look the same. Traveling for work I’ve had at least 5 or 6 people tell me I look like ice cube. It’s gotten the point I just answer ice cube when they say"hey you know who I thought you were?". Meanwhile me and that nigga look nothing alike outside of being black and the tiny mole by the eye.

He’s my most labbed in MvC2 as well, love grief, I usually make teams around him even though he isn’t the greatest.

Honestly thinking of just making a secondary team altogether, Beerus/16/Black is certainly my main team rn and I don’t see leaving it any time soon.
Actually I haven’t really tried any characters outside of these 3, played a little bit of 18 in training mode today but didn’t do much yet, she seems cool tho.
Yeah I also make teams around him too, though 90% of the time I pick anchor Sentinel for my teams anyway. Drones really help him to get in with his hk air grab, and up close the Tron assist can help in pressure and obviously dat damage.
I also have Spiral/Shuma/Sentinel as a secondary team, that team is fun as hell to play with Spiral and Shuma’s lvl3 unblockable setups, and how Shuma’s eyeballs make for unblockable DHCs.

Not sure what i think of Zeku at the moment. Every SFV character i play with feels like a different set of handcuffs at the moment…
Yeah pretty much. That one character that checks all the boxes anyone would want doesn’t exist. That’s why i enjoy playing a variety of characters at intermediate level.
I think Kolin is your best character out of all the ones I’ve seen, though your Zeku would ve much better if you were familiar with YZ.
One thing that helped me with my character woes was adjusting what I was looking for in characters. I used to hate SFV’s selection because I wanted a bunch of shit in one character i wouldn’t get. Eventually you gotta make compromises. For example I used to snub Nash because I hated slow walkspeed, but then I realized that was something I could get over…if that makes sense. Now I really enjoy subbing him even if I’m not very good with him and he’s fairly low tier.
Looking for a main you gotta have a “glass half full” mentally because no character’s glass is filled to the brim.
On that last note (and last edit i promise), have you tried Chun? She has top 5(3?) walkspeed and buttons that cover multiple ranges.

Kolin is the best as she is by far the one I have put the most work into. Part of my search for a second is to better learn the game. As I’ve stated before, a huge hunk of Kolin matches just come down to wether VT2 happens or not. So I’m trying to find a character that I can play with a more fundamental approach.
