I think this is a problem with the patch era and the way content is delivered now. You didn’t really have this anxiousness with SF4 or MvC3. Once the game was out it was out and people spent the time discussing playing it.
Waiting on content has shifted the focus to it rather than gameplay. Instead of just accepting the game, there’s always this secondary conversation that can be had involving what Capcom is or isn’t doing as a company with it’s product.
Yeah I’m thinking that if we think about Pass sales, SFV might dwarf profits from IV. Even though IV made impressive numbers overall, DLC content has prolly made em bank, considering a lot of the low effort stuff at high price points too.
Man that Dr. B stuff lol. It does remind me of forums from the 2000’s when everyone was just more savage about everything. Homphobic jokes, rape jokes, threatening each other, and so on. It looks like Dr. B tried to not over step some boundaries while ignoring others like basically calling Justin fat and his skin color yellow because he’s Asian lol.
I don’t conduct myself like that nor do I approve of it, but it’s kind of fascinating to see it again since I’m pretty PC myself and surround myself with people both online and off who are the same or similar. I do hope Justin gets a chance to beat his ass and put the video all over YT and social media though for all the shit talking he has done.
Oh there were some hilariously no chill motherfuckers on this site. A lot of the older GD users still got about as much chill as the California wildfires.
The jokes on physical attributes have been a hallmark of this scene; one that has made it really cohesive. Race doesn’t really matter unless you’re really out trying to say some racist shit. Outside of that its a joke here or there and people laugh and move on. You can either laugh or go to gamefaqs. Laughing is the better option TBH.
That’s a textbook strawman. We aren’t talking about random people, we are talking about one specific person who is in a priviledge position over the vast majority of the people you mentioned aren’t in the same position as Logan.
Stahp. Capcom could’ve made a post saying that they’re going to focus on the polishing season 4 content and we’ll get somethign special later and people would’ve been happy. I didn’t know there was a reveal on Final Round, just that it was the start of CapCup. so if Logan hadn’t spilled the minor beans, we’d be none the wiser. Just making assumptions.
We’re not discussing Capcom’s imperfect communications though. We both agree that it leaves something to be desired.
We’re talking about if this void Capcom has left in 2019 (fresh off their arguably best season yet mind you) is enough to justify people’s spoilt behavior towards and foul condemnations of Capcom, and by extension anyone who shows an inkling of understanding or gratitude towards them.
For the record, Capcom has said they are working on characters and announced the CPT season. There is enough information in what they put out for anyone with half a brain to deduce we ain’t seeing shit until CPT starts. It may have been an assumption, but not an improbable one (like say “it’s OVER OMG!” dead gaymz”).
There is also the arcade release which is huge for their home customers.
It is but I don’t mind it either. These are exciting times for the world of fighting games and I always look forwards to reveals and new announcements even for shit I don’t play. I just love seeing post launch support for a genre that many consider dead after the first week of release. Even with Capcom being cahcah heads it’s been a wild ride.
I wanna doubt that there is someone asinine enough to think that’s even a possibility.
Anyway the point of this discussion is:
Logan is an entitled cunt.
Not something I said, I’m just paraphrasing something I recall Froztey saying (an opinion I share due to recent events)
Once again, I paid for the game I am allowed to complain about it, saying someone is not allowed to complain because they don’t play it is dumb as fuck.
