If you think SF6 is going to be a playstation exclusive…
I highly doubt it, after the success of capcom the last 2-3 years making a game like Streetfighter console exclusive would be a REALLY bad move. SF5 needed the funding…I guess.
But if SF5 was on xbox and switch the game would be selling infinitely better.
Streetfighter 6 needs to NOT be locked down to one console and have cross play or CFN “revised”

Of course it will be unless sony is dumb. The deal makes up for any lost sales for one, SF benefits from console exclusive advertising and marketing and once again sony locking them up basically sells them way more than just SF copies. SF exclusive to sony sells them MK, Injustice, Tekken, DoA, Marvel etc etc etc because SF being a sony exclusive makes sony the defacto platform of choice for fighting game players.
Its smart for capcom to take the money, its smart for sony to spend the money. There’s a lot more at play than just street fighter itself.

I disagree its not good for the SF brand at all, I know of at least 5 people in my circle that didn’t even give SF a chance because it was an exclusive and they played sf3/4 heavily. I can image that was probably said a lot by a lot of people.
And while I don’t know how much sony is putting upfront I can’t image it being more than the sells they’d get off it being on Nintendo switch alone.
Seeing as almost every fighter capcom has put on that thing has sold extremely well on that platform.
I also don’t know what you mean by listing all the other fighters? Those are all on multiple platforms… Even MK11 is going to be on the switch. The switch is a gold mine and it will be even after the new xbox and ps5 are released.
Every game that has done really really well for capcom has be on multiple systems.

I can also mirror this anecdote.
Any competetive game is only hurt by being exclusive. I would rather the next SF game be on all platforms with crossplay.
Crossplay from all forms of it ive tried induces some kind of fuckery on the connection state

I’ve never had any issues that were unique to crossplay. Outside of mouse vs controller issues on certain games, which are solved with a filter.

Exclusivity has only hurt when games go to niche consoles. In this case the FGC got boned by the Wii for TvC and KI being Xbone exclusive. Outside of that console exclusivity made life easier because it erased the debate over which version is better.
You’ve no idea how shitty it was to buy a PS3 because it was going to be the Evo console and then having it all switched a year later to 360. Keeping the player base in one place is nice. Halo kids can go kick rocks.
