SFV lounge: London we have a Problem X. SFV gave us the Burger King again

just watch my vidya when i make em and you will win

also conversely just pick xianghua and do sidestep B, into whatever juggle combo you can mash and that will be enough to win 50 games in a row on day 1.

why come bison is not demitri

he literally can do demitri dash in sfv with trigger dashes

Nope Capcom, nope nope nope, where is my BB Hood Karin

Dude, I donā€™t know if this helps but Iā€™m ranked rookie and canā€™t get to bronze but I find this game super fun.

Those Halloween costumes are pretty good. Night and day compared to what they put out in year one with those awful Ryu/Alex/Juri costumes. Not sure if Iā€™ll get Falkeā€™s because I already bought swimsuit and battle but it definitely looks good. Wonder what the costume codes will do.

Edit: after a second look I hope Falkeā€™s code removes that rose tattoo, that thing looks really bad.

A new blessing for the people

Completely unrelated to Street Fighter, but Iā€™ve been sober for over a year now. I cannot express the imense benefits Iā€™ve had from NOT touching that poison. Clearer skin, not hungover, having money, not being an embarrassment to my family/friends and obviously the health benefits too.

Or you could just play Vega. I heard his VS is anti projectile, and his CA isnā€™t frame once invincible, but it does go through fireballs. Plus, his AA game is very rewarding if it doesnā€™t get stuffed.

How long do you guys usually play a day? Or week? Or how long did you guys have to play/practice to get to bronze?

Yeah I think Iā€™m about done aswell, although my blood pressure is good cause Iā€™m super chill.

I feel like SF5 is ground hog day now, even with sagat, itā€™s the same block strings, same set ups , same combos, same way you lose. 98 games out of 100.

Game has kinda gone slowly extinct for me. I think Iā€™m Gona return to the world of PS controllers and nice games.

My hair started thinning after Iā€™ve switched to Akuma. I shouldā€™ve stayed a Ryu main.

Actually I donā€™t even drink.

What my doctor really advised me to do was cut down on my sodium intake.

But ā€œcut down on sodiumā€ and ā€œswitch to akumaā€ are totally redundant points, so I just threw in a line about alcohol.

But good for you

Valkyria Chronicles 4 is out in a week. Just throwing that out there because that game will need all the help it can get in terms of sales.

I have Tekken 7 for my FG cravings, which is infinitely less salt-inducing than SFV for me. Even Eddy and Xiaoyu are calming compared to teleporting Lauras.

I also currently have Hollow Knight, Celeste and about twelve billion roguelikes for when I need to relax. My girlfriend bought Stardew Valley for Switch last week too, might try that at some point.

This is basically why I stopped playing skullgirls. Same shit over and over again. Great game but the thing about fighting games is that usually the best ones, outside of something like maybe 3S, get stale. Thereā€™s just not a lot of variance to apply ā€œwhile still being able to winā€ sure you can have fuckloads of variance in losingā€¦ like Akumas losing to sagats and not using cr.hpā€¦ but I digress, use a winning strategy and get bored. Use a fun strategy and get whooped. Fighting games 101. Some anime games like GG might have a bit more actual winning depth, maybe, but everything becomes stale sooner or later. Thatā€™s the way of life.

Pick one.

Iā€™ve been perpetually stressed out the last couple of years, to the point where playing a Darkest Dungeon-run* was genuinely relaxing. Now that things have calmed down a bit, I still associate that with unwinding.

Also Celeste and HK arenā€™t particularly stressful?

  • I am aware of the irony of bringing up stress and that particular game

Havenā€™t played either one but from the feedback I gathered both can be pretty challenging at times which I personally would consider stressful.

This is what I call relaxing:

(Itā€™s sort of a Zelda game without combat and items)
