SFV lounge: London we have a Problem X. SFV gave us the Burger King again

No jiggle on Morrichun is disappointing but everything else about that is on point. .

Also what setting is Capcom using for their pics and trailers? I swear the game looks better even on PS4 than in their PR stuff.

Is my internet fucked or is this just a white picture?

Dunno? It’s a Zero (Nier) Falke mod WIP gif. I can’t reupload so maybe it’s the website the modder decided to host to

DLC costumes is the number 1 priority… Forget fixing the Netcode and dreaded input lag on the ps4. We ok fam, long as we can play dress up we iight.

Same for Urien not being Pyron

Just a white pic for me, too.

Ed as Demitri is a fucking travesty, btw.

But Darkstalkers is coming. You heard it here first.

The DLC team’s work pays the salaries of the Netcode’s team. Every purchase brings us that much closer to perfection. Give Papa Capcom everything.

If Ed is getting Demitri, they should at least give Bison Jedah.

If this doesn’t work, blame Japanese Wizardry

Not sure if you mean the Zero mod but it really is well done for a WIP…there is something special about DOA modders especially when they venture out to other games…some of his texture work is iffy but that’s probably because DOA doesn’t have the same depth as SFV and he’s pulling from last gen games

Either way I’m using the hell out of that Zero mod

Edit: I just realized it says “Replies” when someone quotes you, SCREW THIS FORIM

Claw or FANG even work better as Jedah.

After Demitri, Bison is surely…

I’m scared that this is Capcom’s way of telling us don’t expect a DS game anytime soon (I’d take Rival Skools, maybe they’ve learned thier lesson with nuMarvel)

Nice. I like this mod.

I’m starting to understand frame data and all that stuff a little bit more, so for example on that akuma cr.hp, if it wasn’t for the pushback those type of normals then it’d be an infinite right?

Sort of. cr.HP is a bit weird for that because it has a chunk of start up frames (10) so technically the other person could always mash a faster button that reached to get out. A better button to use for the example is Akuma’s cr.MP.

6 frame start up, +3 on block (assuming my phone app isn’t lying to me).

Assuming zero pushback and say the person is in the corner, they’re f’d unless the do something with invincibility or early frame armor. You could sit there mashing cr.MP over and over and over, and because there is only a 3 frame gap they can’t hit a button (the fastest normal buttons are all 3 frame start up).

If you watch enough YouTube you will find some very amusing fighting games that have very little/no pushback and you see shit like that exactly.

So one of the important things to bear in mind with frame data isn’t just how + you are after, but how fast your follow up button is going to be. If the frame gap is wide enough you can get caught by people mashing or who have cottoned to your patterns and are challenging.

:man_student:

EDIT: It’s also important to point out that the above situation only happens because SFV has the priority system where Heavies beat Mediums which beat Lights if buttons collide on the same frame. If that system wasn’t in place then you could mash out of that situation with a 3 frame light and at least trade.

Thanks bro, excellent explanation.

Happy to help!

Since @Akhos vanished into the ether (maybe Felicia Menat will bring him back?) we all have to fill the frame data void left by him.
