SFV lounge: London we have a Problem X. SFV gave us the Burger King again

Got Kenned!

Burning all the meter on the guard crush? That’s next level of downplaying and asking for buffs. Well this is the guy that said in SF4 that Ryu was bottom 5, Poison top 5 and got the requested adjustments.

I know people want to say sagat is good, he’s is good. Just not in SF5 meta, he’s better if you play on hitbox though. One of the few characters when there is a noticeable difference.

Of the season 3 character the best one “good” character is G

The rest you can just make work.

Sagat is no stranger to fighting out of the corner… Force to use his slow normals.

Jumping out is not an option cuz any competent player can punish his slow ass jump free.

Cr.mk needs to be faster. Or more range on Cr.jab.

Passing the ultimate Ken and Sagat masters only to fall prey to standard Cammy antics does feel anticlimatic.

Nemo is cooking something destructive with this character… He already prepping the body bags for TGS.

G needs one specific buff to be complete: to go right to presidential level 3 of a single charge: having to go through 2 successful charges only to lose it all in two knockdowns isn’t worthy. Other than the first attempt of the round most of the time you better activate V1 by the time you have been knocked out enough and on low life is too much hassle.

Level 2 will still be seen a lot given the knockdowns but with one single charge full presidential is always on the table.

Family Man Sako has done it again!

Always fun to see Menat shenanigans going and she working through scary rushdown plays.
Hope he gets far in CapCup.

You dont always want to be level3 tho… Level2 gives you 391damage in the corner/mid screen with 1bar…

You simply can’t be truly good at fighting games until you are old, youth is a curse.

At this rate 38 year old sonic fox is going to kill us all :frowning:

S1 chuns, including yourself… weren’t abusing her st.hp… till they saw Justin Wong owning people with nothing but that button.

Akumas cr.hp is pretty beastly but it’s matchup AND player specific. If the player is pressing shitloads of buttons, then the cr.hp is very good. If the player isn’t, then simply walking forward into st.mk or cr.mk range is better. Play the matchup, play the player.

@serpentaurus
You the best bro for real!

It wasn’t a nerf to make way for easier execution, it’s a nerf because his command grab does too much.

Congrats Sako, well played.

Age is just a number.

I definitely was using s.HP a lot and regularly confirmed it into super even during the beta. Chun’s s.HP is a pretty different move from Akuma’s c.HP any ways. For Chun it’s pretty important as she has no other move that really does as much damage that has the same hit box.

The only thing J.Wong did was show off that you can theoretically win with just using that button in S1, but like J.Wong’s Menat vs other Menats you get more down spreading out your buttons than fixating on one or 2 buttons until you win. J.Wong didn’t have the execution to actually play Chun so that’s what he was going to focus on. All of the Chuns that placed were the IALL/stomp/late cancel SBK Chuns.

Akuma’s c.HP is literally a scrub button at this point. Top players have pretty much all dropped regular use of it for buttons that get similar pay out for less whiff recovery and faster start up. That’s why Akuma will always stay strong as he has things that people complain about that don’t really matter at top level. Lots of diversions and distractions. Capcom nerfed f+HP and s.MK instead of c.HP for reasons that make enough sense at this point.
