SFV lounge: London we have a Problem X. SFV gave us the Burger King again

Clearly, he felt pity of the opponent and let him win!

This is SFV. Itā€™s more important that the characters are ā€œhonestā€ than ā€œfunā€.

Fun is for anime games. Thatā€™s why they should have left out the v system and all of that stupid fun roll the dice turn your character into a spaceship stuff. Just buttons and fundies would have been fine.

A pity that Makoto didnā€™t win with his Gief, but damn, this top 8 was too damn good.
Such high level play in all matches. Lots of awesome moments and set ups.
Alpha 2 is still the better game, though, but I would be all in for more Alpha on stream action in future tournaments. :stuck_out_tongue:

Zeku players trying to compete with Vega players for bring the most narcissistic

Isnā€™t the first time I heard Saltford Kelly talking shit about others Zekus, he really think heā€™s the best one. Fun fact,he didnā€™t accomplish nothing and when he tried he blamed the game to justify his losses. He has ALWAYS something to say about others Zekus, even Japanese, but heā€™s too scared to show up at big stages, he preferred to play the OG player role who is disgusted by how Capcom dumbed down SF to make it more accessible to a bigger audience. Fun fact no.2, even in SF4 he didnā€™t accomplish nothing worldwide or even US only, he will be forever remembered as a meme, before with the ā€˜pick a top tierā€™ line and later with the stick destruction after losing a favorable matchup. What an annoying person.

Yeah other players put up results despite their issues with the game. Heā€™ll beat a top player here and there in brackets but thatā€™s usually it. Heā€™s been carrying his rhetoric since SF4 and Marvel 3 to take attention off him scrubbing out and not getting top 3 results.

He has nothing to back up his thoughts and when someone call him out he starts kissing their asses. Daigo has Zeku experience btw, he played some of best Japanese Zekus like RozeRoze, but the character is particular. Having two forms the combinations and playstyles are virtually endless, getting used to one of 'em doesnā€™t mean steamrolling all the others ones. Young Zeku can be hard to manage for Guile especially because he has many options to bypass his zoning. Serpentaurus worked so hard with Zeku, I expected a good run of him, but he surpassed my expectations beating also Smug and Du. Saltford Kelly can call me when he will be able to beat those 3 in a row like our SRK member did.

Hopefully the recent Zeku exposure tells Capcom to hold back on buffs.

Buffed Zeku would be some scary shit.

In others news I have to learn better how to move in SFV. Using Makoto a bit today makes me realize Iā€™m still bond to how I used her dash and slow walk to a degree I donā€™t feel still natural moving in SFV. The winner of the tournament today moved his Juri so well, Iā€™m not used to dash under jumpins or f.dash into lows like he does. Zeku lows are ass,but still. Thereā€™s just 1f of difference between Zeku and Juri forward dash, but the latter looks harder to react for the defender even without her fireball on screen.

How easy it is to react to a dash isnā€™t only based on the overall speed of the dash, itā€™s based on when in the animation the characters move. A character moving early and having a long wind-down is way easier to react to than a character that winds up, moves late and recovers early after the movement.

Iirc Nash is a huge offender here. SFIV Rose is also a good example.

Long as he starts out as Old Zeku Iā€™ll manage. Good characters is good.

Dunno, the character is good, but too honest at this point of the game. Capcom need to balance him with the difficult of controlling two different characters at once in mind, isnā€™t just a stance change, all his frame data changes. Sometimes Zeku looks a character from another game, some hitconfirms looks harder and even jumpins needs to hit deeper most of the time. I donā€™t see people jumping on his train because of buffs, isnā€™t that hard execution wise, but controlling all his forms perfectly is a completely different story imo.

Yeah, I remember Nash starting his animation at frame 8 or 9 of a total of 17, this thing is really annoying. With crush counters around is always risky to stick out a button buffering stuff to stop people from dashing at you and the lag makes everything even worse.

what do you mean with mobility? Because heā€™s faster than most of the cast, even than characters that are usually deemed as very fast such as Juri

U dare compare our hardshipsā€¦

Vega players maybe all hate each other but we do so because like a wounded animal, we are in constant pain and lashing out. The people who still play vega to this day must be some of the most bitter people on earth.

Mobility is different from speed. This is one of Akumas least mobile games considering how he could control the air and do multiple air specials while jumping backwards. He has good ground speed but his runaway and overall mobility is non existant in comparison. 3S and IV Akumas were much more slippery and mobile. Itā€™s not that hard to close a gap on this Akuma so he really doesnā€™t warrant any health nerfs.
