SFV lounge: London we have a Problem X. SFV gave us the Burger King again

Idk if the last blade is a spin off or something but how is samurai showdown played? Do you just poke people to death?

The real question is: did they confirm it’s not a two button/easy special game?

Yeah it’s an OG before marvel/anime era walk around and hit buttons game with short combos minus a few system things. These videos generally show off what high level play is.

SamSho reboot looks good. I’ll just pick Charlotte and spam Power Gradiation over the weekend then shelf the game.

Hanzo PLZ!!! This’ll be another game I buy and will be horrible at.

Edit: Looks like Hanzo is in from that pic!

I used to love the SamSho announcer. That dude was the epitome of hype.

I don’t know this Charlotte gal but she’s as close as I’ll ever be to playing Hilde in 2019 so I’ll take it.

For anyone interested in DOA6, launches right after Valentine’s Day worldwide.

Take your girl out and then play with virtual girls. That are dressed slightly more SJW than before.

And it has Mary Rose and Honoka back.
DOA 6 is ruined forever.

That also confirms that Sonicfox will be playing.

Season 4 can’t come any sooner.

It has changed rather much over the years. The series began before combo inflation was a thing, You could tell the designers said “swords hurt”. I want to recall that SS2 Genjuro did around 60% damage with his standing AB (Heavy) slash. That’s a regular move, not a special. And it could dizzy. Mind, the general consensus was that if you got hit by such a move, you deserved to lose the life.

SS3 was a divisive game as SNK tried to overhaul its systems to make it more appealing to a wider audience. (It didn’t, and it also annoyed some existing SS fans.) While SS2 had more effort put into combo counts, combo inflation really set in with SS3. As did a number of silly infinites and 100% combos, which would continue in future titles. In my eyes, the gameplay of 2D Samurai Shodown would become increasingly that of a generic fighting game, losing what originally made it special.

SS64 was the start of the first 3D push, followed by SS64-2. The Playstation then got a 3D SS game. Despite the popular misconception, it was not a port of one of the arcade 3D games. The Playstation game was not particularly special. (The arcade games were on rather unpopular hardware, and have yet to be properly emulated.)

There was an attempt to revive the series on the Xbox 360, Samurai Shodown Sen is often considered one of the worst, or at the very least one of the most disappointing, games in the entire series.

I worry a bit for that young lad.

Also, one of the stages has giant tentacles. Those things are scary and dangerous.
Why did they have to add giant tentacles to the game? Why?

They need to also add a stage with regular/giant sized spiders so Max can freak out about his phobia.

Charlotte is cool cuz she’s a fencer who fights samurais with powerful triangles
