Is the fat fuck any good? I used to play him as a kid.

Agree 100% when it comes to Fuudo and R. Mika in general. People just didnā€™t understand the game in Season 1 and itā€™s not too much shit those same people can say about her now without looking salty and biased.

I feel Juri has that same potential, also Karin (Wong vs Punk.)

On another note I think thereā€™s a select group of us Karin players that are slowly leaning towards VT2 also. Personally I told myself whenever I use Karin, just go VT2 and rely on your skill (kek) and use VT2 as a obvious mindfuck/counter tool. No comment on why I use Falkeā€™s VT2 though, Iā€™ll wait for those inevitable buffs :^)

I am just saddened that no apples were sliced and no blood was coughed due to tuberculosis in that teaser trailer. That felt so wrong!

.I just need to see footage of Genjuro then Iā€™m literally uninstalling SFV

Looks like a big improvement over KoFXIV aesthetics-wise. The models still look pretty basic but theyā€™re using filters and a general artstyle that makes them look far better.

They still canā€™t into hairs. But letā€™s see. SNK has a history of listening to feedback.

i want Zankuro, Sieger and Nicotine!!

I need the entire cast of 2, plus TamTam. Then cherry pick the best few from the later installments and weā€™re golden.

Especially need that ChamCham back in my life.

If the game ends up sucking at least we got SSV :^)

Itā€™s not a Capcom fighting division game so itā€™s obviously going to be great with no problems. Whiff punishing and execution and that stuff that people like for 3 weeks before they stop playing online.

Samurai Shodown 2 is the very first fighting game I remember from my childhood. I remember the arcade machine sitting on the very far left of the line; I was very impressed by the giant fat fuck with glam rock painting on his face. The referee saying the same japanese sentence to introduce the fight, Hanzo, Jyubei, Galford, Charlotte, everything is iconic to me.

Iā€™ve been dreaming for a 3D reboot of the series for a long time and Iā€™m so happy this is finally happening. The team whoā€™s making it is clearly the same that made KOF14 (see the cinematic camera angles or facial animations when talking) but the art direction is so much better. They nailed all the characters and they gave the entire game an old Japanese painting feel which is extremely fitting. Turns out they actually learned from the mistakes made in KOF (or maybe they just got enough money to be able to do a better job).

From the characters shown in the trailer it looks like theyā€™re aiming to revive the first two games in the series (hence Earthquake, Tam Tam and Genjuro), so we may expect at the very least Cham Cham and maybe Nicotine and Sieger - and of course Amakusa. I wouldnā€™t mind though if they added Basara and the Kazama brothers too.

I canā€™t wait to see more trailers to figure out what the gameplay will be like!

The later SS games were filled with all sorts of grooves and modes.

Were any of these systems actually worth a damn?

In V/Special I remember the water/slowdown groove being pretty cheap. Could do long ass Marvel 3 Ammy slow combos that did a bunch of damage.

I never got into the new ones and mainly only played the first 2 (mainly the original on Genesis). I have more of a fondness for the simple parts of Samurai Showdown so I donā€™t really care for whatever 35 grooves theyā€™re going to put in. Just want the character that hits sword buttons real good and if they work in the cheap groove then great, whatever.

Thatā€™s why I still like SF and other games like it because its nice to have some games that arenā€™t air dash around with long combos all day like 2d genre has been starting to get filled with before SFIV launched. More games that are mainly about staying on the ground and hitting buttons into short combos is good. We have enough long ultra combo air dash games.

Bust/Slash in SS3 and SS4 gave two dramatically different movesets and combos to each character to the point it often didnā€™t feel like you were playing the same one. I havenā€™t played enough the following games to tell how good those systems were.

Yea, Iā€™m hoping for very little combos but also don t want the super high jump arcs lol.
