SFV lounge: London we have a Problem X. SFV gave us the Burger King again

Season 4: Dan, Fei-long, Crimson Viper, Elena, Sheep Fur-man aka the Gato of SFV

-No more bikini costumes

Capcom would go bankrupt in a week

I tried playing on stick fr a while during the SFIV era because a) I actually was motivated to get better at that game as I enjoyed it way more and b) it had higher execution requirements than SFV but as you say it would probably have taken me about half a year just to get to where I was with my pad before actually improving so I decided to drop it.

With SFV baby execution I’ve never felt limited by the pad. Maybe for Menat combos but fuck Menat anyway.

Lmao

Can confirm, I hated this game most while playing S2 Chun and S3 Sakura.

In all fairness, this game is really hateable.

A bat top is a good idea. I grew up on the things. They are the tonka toys of the joystick world. Virtually indestructible made for American mashers. Get one with a long shaft so that you can make full use of fisty movements.

Those are nowhere near as good as a Japanese stick, but they were made with a completely different purpose and use in mind.

I rock heavy springs. They make me happy.

Edit: wtf is up with the Bison army out in force today. Holy shit, think I’ve played against him in half of all my ranked matches.

why would a competitive player play S2 Ryu tho? If a character makes you hate everything then you’re better off playing someone else (or another game entirely), especially if you want to compete, no one is going to give you a consolation prize since you were playing such a bad character.
There’s the same character selection screen for everyone.

A character winning a big event usually gets more people on the bandwagon. Luckily I don’t run into Bison much since that’s about Falke’s worst match.

I remember Samurai still being a bit optimistic on twitter about s2 Ryu, but he was using Akuma lol

Yeah, at least Cammy has some normals to make Bison calm down. Zeku has to hold a lot of shit.

This brief time with cammy has really let me know how basic she is and how deficient other characters are. She does a small amount of things really well. Other characters out there holding their dicks because they cant function compared to her.

Silly tbh

That’s the point EH kind of fan don’t think about it, Cammy isn’t really that strong, it’s the rest of the cast outside the top 10 being weak in general, especially in normals department. This sentiment around when there’s a ton of real robbery characters around her.

Cammy has always been low tier and not that good. She’s only top tier in a professionals hands. Mike Ross already shown us this when he fought K-Brad’s Cammy.

:>)

Looking back S2 Ryu would have had multiple 7-3, just nobody had the balls to believe it because saying something is 7-3 is like poison.

Still folk now saying this game is ā€œvery balancedā€.

This games about survival. Don’t get hit by the shit. That’s what makes it difficult to become consistent.

Why is Season 3 Ken bad again? Minus the players

Edit: Oh yeah and I read your comment Blanka/Sagat Highland and you’re pretty much right. Blanka throws off my damn Oki and I loes my confidence in trying to kara DP blanka balls…that lil fucker has too many ways to evade…plus other little things that can be fixed in training mode

From my understanding, it seems like he wasn’t all that great to begin with in 3.0. But a lot of his changes to pushback and spacing from some of his normals have caused him to be just that bit more ā€œnot that great.ā€ He is great on offense it seems but he has lost some significant technical advantages it seems.

This video is close to what I am talking about.

Twitter is gold sometimes

Ken is definitely arguable top 10 at the moment. I don’t find that to be a ridiculous notion at all.

I was saying since 3.5 got released. S3 Ken is good. Especially compared to the travesty that was S2 Ken.

Ken does ok against all the top tiers… Except for Guile.

Only problem is that in this game, there’s no reason to be good when you can be great.

Been running into a strong Hong Kong Ken player, RedJohnHK a lot lately… However he’s been playing Akuma instead of Ken. Kinda sad.

Does ken really have the fastest dash?

Edit: nah looks like he’s tied with rashid and Chun.
