SFV lounge: London we have a Problem X. SFV gave us the Burger King again

It’s like 5, someone tested it.

you gonna cry when you don’t get any help on Soul Calibur c:

I’d rather have actual execution requirements, Xrd has a 3 frame buffer as well and it still has a lot of hard and satisfying stuff to execute.
Plus, links aren’t necessarily the only way to harshen the execution requirements, I have way more problems in respecting very specific timings

Well, there are some combos where you have to do a microwalk.
That is as far as execution goes.

microwalks are really hard tho, being consistent at doing things like urien’s f.mp side switch aegis setups is no easy feat.

Amen.

Probably Capcom will never fix this major issue, but doing that people will never touch this game again when a new SF will be available and even then input lag would be a reason to don’t give a try on the new one. If reducing the input lag means not having news from Capcom until the Finals of CPT, I’m ok. It’s a priority over a lot of things imo.

I hear you. As a masher I don’t believe you and as person that has had the change himself multiple times in his lifetime (including now, with getting fit and putting on extreme amounts of muscle after 40, without the use of performance enhancing drugs) I know that change is definitely possible and going against the grain is certainly doable, but if a person believes they can’t do something, well generally, they are correct. You do you.

Having said that, if you really feel you need maximum force, you might want to design a custom stick like an extreme version of a flight stick. Maybe it will work, maybe not. But you’ll get major ability to yank on the thing like a damn nutter if it’s got a longer stick like that of a flight stick.

Twitter is still great. You got them guy’s that are like “Maybe Season 4…”

Slap, slap, wake up son. This is it.

We’re going to get no heavy news until CPT, but the lag will stay the same.

Pretty much. The hopeful era for the game is done. Just like KI when I was playing it, people were asking for stuff well into Season 3 both aesthetically and gameplay wise that just wasn’t going to happen. It’s more work for them than it’s worth to fix things for a game that there’s potentially only 2 seasons left for any way. For the fighting game division of Capcom it’s surprising when they go out of their way, so can’t expect them to go too much further out the way.

Better to fix them in a newer game with a better built infrastructure for it. Otherwise SFV is getting some new V systems, probably new supers, new characters and you crush counter and counter hit/one hit confirm your way to CPT Finals. If you like that, great. Don’t like that? Great cuz that’s what you’re getting.

KI had a ton of aesthetic inconsistencies though. If people think character X or Y is animated badly in SFV they should boot up KI and look at the difference between Season 1 characters and everyone who came afterwards. I remember playing a lot of Orchid in S1 and then Maya came along in S2 and looked like a last-generation Mortal Kombat character in comparison.

There are things the can be changed with enough effort. I know that as fellow who also is addicted to exercising. But there are things that are not only tied to your effort, but other limitations, and trying to fix that would require too much time and effort, which wouldn’t be worth it. Been there, done that, didn’t work out great.

I may have to change to a bat top from a ball top after I switch springs for a better grip, but I have ordered several springs with different tensions to try now. 3, 4, 5, 6 and even 9 lbs. I am sure I will be able to find what will work for me.

Not enough finger dexterity to use the shoulder buttons properly.
Nor to press multiple buttons at once on the face buttons. :stuck_out_tongue:

Didn’t work in the past, didn’t work for SFV either!

A pad with 8 face buttons or a saturn pad could possibly work, but in that case, why not just go for a hitbox instead?

Well in my case it’s a lack of experience pressing buttons with my fingers instead of my thumbs, so pads will always be the go-to way for me.

In your case it is better to stick with pad indeed.
It would be possible to adapt and learn how to use a stick or a hitbox, but that is an uphill battle that would take months to conquer.
Better spend those months working on getting better at the game with your characters of preference using the tools already available that work for you.

You’re a party pooper, ya know

Playing with Cammy again for a bit. Her normals work. Its kind of what a big difference there is between Zeku with 3 billion special moves and Cammy with 3.

Give everybody good normals FFS.
