have you tried neutral jump MP?

Falke-Cammy is probably in Falke’s favour, but then why do my Schneides keep getting stuffed by divekicks!? :face_with_symbols_over_mouth: :face_with_symbols_over_mouth: :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

I don’t have a lot of problems with Akuma, air fireballs should be countered by jMP and I know that Schneide can also trade with them, and that trade is always going to be in Falke’s advantage (although, it’s risky). Aside from that Akuma basically can’t use Demon Flip at all in that matchup because it’s so easy to react to it with a one button DP, his normals are shorter than Falke and his only fireball that goes fullscreen is easily punished by low shot. Also, Falke’s damage is good if you manage to get a good opening, and that’s always nice to have against low life characters.

Falke-Sim is a tragedy, I think Falke-F.A.N.G also goes similar to that, I think those are her worst matchups by far. Menat should be easier to deal with after her neutral nerfs in Season 4 but I’m sure it’s still bad for Falke, still not as bad as Dhalsim though.
Balrog and Bison are also bad but not as bad as the other three because they don’t invalidate your whole gameplan, they just have the tools to overcome it pretty easily. Actually I didn’t have a lot of problems with the Balrogs I fought, but it’s probably just because people are still clueless about the Falke matchup (stLK also seems to work wonders in that matchup, once I stuffed an EX straight with it :open_mouth: ). Bison is a different story.

Can I get the new training music to play if I’m training? If so how, I can’t see that option.

Edit : got it, battle settings. Why would it be in sound settings…

j.MP is spacing/timing specifiic from my experience. It works on occasion, but I’ve had it both lose and trade just as often.

I’m bad at air-to-airs though, I should probably work on that.

That girl looks like she is his sister  .

I just watched the last bestofvshow video. Mocha’s yt video was discussed there.

So, I’ve played two sets against GM Necalli yesterday, he got really angry
Please watch if you have time and tell me how to improve (without mentioning obvious stuff like - finish your combos, AA with SRK, don’t use f.FP in neutral and don’t sweep after throw tech):

EDIT - timestamp not working, this forum is trash. 1st set starts at 01:28:54, 2nd one at 1:53:08.

Against Bison you’re pretty much burning your entire V-Gauge for V-Reversals and Super Bar for EX PP just to get him off. Meaning if you keep the life lead it’s going to work but if not good luck making a comeback without resources.

EX PP is easy to bait with lights, if the Bison you’re fighting is good you can’t even do that. It’s just V-Reversal or learn to hold that pressure.

You can react with EX PP to some of his normals if you know his strings and what he wants to go for. It’s really easy with Falke because you’re not even risking anything - if you’re too late with your button you’re just going to block instead.

A lot of Bisons usually mix up after backthrow by either dashing or using df.HP for example. In that case it’s really easy to scoop the df.HP and use EX PP to just avoid the entire pressure situation.

What makes Smash easier to play for casuals is the control scheme and mode customization (ie items and such)

Character design in Smash is not even close to being homogenized

Super Diamond is a tough rank.

Afro Syian is a GM now ?
I should really go back to play ranked.

Falke bodies Akuma’s air game so lmk what you figure out on your own and if you still can’t figure it out I’ll throw in some tips. Once you figure it out it’s like Cammy where he pretty much has to approach from the ground or feint his air approach to have any shot.

Sim can be a problem, but because she has good range tools vs his fireball and raw teleports she can at least dictate his far range game a bit better than other characters. Not in her favor, but not really terrible either in my experience. Barely anyone plays Sim so it’s a matchup that’s really not a problem to have a problem vs. Fang is more of a problem for similar reasons , but less you can do about it basically. Plus he’s slightly more prevalent online so have to deal with it more.

Boxer is still bad, Menat is more like slightly in her favor at best now not bad at all (2 bar VT1 was the only thing that was a real challenge IMO) and Bipson while not great is much more doable. I got it down to like Fang and Boxer being her only really bad matches now. Her other unfavorable matchups are not that bad or generally doable.

JB needs to go to Jared. That wasn’t advice, that was a detailed guide. I’m impressed.

And also 3d printed guns

While not prevalent online, Dhalsim is probably the single most commonly used character in Oslo so I kinda have to deal with that if I want to attend local stuff. Lots of Sim veterans around. <.<
Fang is also quite common, so is G. I’ve heard G-players claim Falke destroys him, kinda want to see how that goes.

As for Akuma, is there any footage of this matchup you can point to? Air fireball is literally the only thing in the MU that seems even slightly problematic.

I really like the everyone has a fireball aspect of mk games. I also like the fact that all the characters can do all the things. This to me is PERFECT balance. To me, when I have a character that is shit at something… no matter what that thing is… it allows my opponent to be complacent and autopilot against that one thing. Like keeping gief out, that’s shit is pretty autopilot for some characters… so why would I want that? Why would I want terrible matchups? 5-5 matchups take by far the most skill to win, save for the bad side of a counter matchup. But this also allows everyone to play who they want rather than just the top tier. The reason why I could p,ay painwheel in SG even though she was bottom tier, was because even though for SG her kit was unbalanced, but for a fighter, her kit was very balanced so I could come up with answers for most things. The one thing I could never come up with answer for was something that was a programmed limitation for her. That one thing is what the best AU player used to beat me over and over again…

So yeah I hate character limitations as a rule.

I als hate soft mixups, when they are the only mixups that are really available. I like cheap ass mixups that have to be guessed correctly to be defended against. I don’t like multiple types of these guesses though. Having to defend a 3 way mixup 4 times in a row is pretty shitty.

But I’ll give mk11 a shot. If it has decent neutral (which to me means people use their normals at neutral and don’t play like idiots all the time) then that’s good for me. If it’s has good netcode even better.

It will more than likely just be a flash in the pan game, but you never know.
