All these people enabling this furry bullshit in the scene need to go choke on themselves.

Also all the people mad at how MK animates: The NRS games have been animating the same way now since…the first 3D Game. MK games look a certain way, play a certain way and feel a certain way.

Don’t ask for the things people enjoy to go away because you don’t like them. Its way better to have different games that play different than a lot of similarish nonsense. So MK may be hot tash to me, but it being that way matters a lot.

Some characters in MK games have decent or even good animations, while others are downright terrible. Some just have some janky stuff, while others are flawed at seemingly every level of the design process. You can also see visibly different skill levels being shown on new versus old. The most likely answer isn’t that it is intentional, but rather that their animators are of wildly different quality and they just don’t care to pay to replace (or train) the bad animators.

Outside of all of that, their cinematics are generally of a much higher level than their match animations. If they were intentionally trying to make their animations look janky, then why doesn’t that mindset seep into their cinematics?

The counter argument is to post sprites for Ryu, Ken, Akuma, Dan, Sean, … And then say that at least the ninjas get different specials. (Which then leads to someone saying that the shotos at least get different normals.)

And its outdated anyway, as the ninjas haven’t been palette swaps for quite some time.

The thing u’re talking about is fatal blow, wich is straight analog of KI ultra. And we discuss crushing blows which are basically conditioned enhanced moves.

Feel how you may about MK gameplay, they always do a lot of cool stuff for casuals. MK fluff always better than anything else it has going for it.

So combos are toned down in terms of length/damage, there are (allegedly) more lows that are special cancellable and there are less armored moves to bully your way through the neutral and blockstrings.

Maybe that’s what the “leak” meant about ‘playing more like Street Fighter’.
