SFV Lounge: Ken is high mid. Kage is barely mid. F2P still coming

I haven’t really been able to watch much yet (work).

But there’s a lot of hate here for MK11 having the attributes of an MK game. I understand wanting something different, but if you were honestly expecting something else I don’t know what to tell you.

I want more details on the gameplay? Does anyone have/link a write-up? My issue with MK games has always been that they never feel like they have the same depth as some of their competitors and I’m curious what they may have done to address that.

It’s still ironic when someone who plays SF and has a Sagat AV talks about Weeb shit.

You realize that SF is full of anime troops and designs?
I still don’t get why Muricans think that SF was designed for them, when the Story and their protagonist are anime standard cost.

Not to mention that weeb trash has become so popular that Netflix started to produce it themself and it sells.
Guess must be a small minority who likes that stuff, then.

Lol Ed Boon made Deebo a character.

Sand Deebo is coming for his money. Fridays will never be the same.

The way they described them sound like SCVI’s Lethal Hits.

SFV has sold a quarter of what SFIV did and Marvel died on the vine. Its always the follow up game that pays for the sins of its predecessor. It’s not just games. Solo got bopped because of The Last Jedi. Unless SFVI is good to go from the jump, it is going to endup lile Mass Effect Andromeda.

the important details im getting out of the game streams are:

  1. ex meter for attacks starts full at the start of a round, and refills on a cooldown. has two bars you can use, i assume the bar starts to recharge after hitstun ends
  2. you get supers only from having low health, like tekken rage. difference is you only get the big damage comeback super once a -game- not once a round

these things alone already seem p different from other mks and fighting games in general

Din’t paly any of SCs. Where they any good?

I like how your retarded grandstanding is predicated on ignoring the different styles in anime. Specially in implying that liking one aesthetic somehow confers on the people who enjoy it a responsibility to like the rest.

Interesting. Though it kinda feels like the “ultra” mechanic is mostly there so the supers don’t just get ignored like the last two games.

They’re convoluted as fuck. Basically, it’s a CC with specific requirements, ranging from somewhat simple (Hit 3B on a crouching opponent) to the utterly ridiculous.

Different styles don’t exist.
It’s all the same, that what this board (or at least a small amount of thickheaded people), show on a regular bases.

Just saying someone calling something weeb trash, while playing SF should really take care that the irony won’t hit them to hard on the backhead.

Since I have nothing to say about Mortal Kombat I have something for @Doctrine_Dark and @Twinblades instead

I assume that’s how their last bout went anyway :stuck_out_tongue:

There is definitely a scale of weeb-ness and if you can’t see that then I’m not sure what to tell you.

Fucking lemmings and shills come out the woodwork every time something not SF related is revealed. Mortal Kombat 11 is about to be the most viewed movie on youtube in a few weeks so fuck right the skip to my lou off with ya undercover shillings.

Scorpion > Ryu

Are you…what? You have to blind to think that all anime/manga in japan looks the same. That’s ridiculous.

Yeah, Studio Ghibli stuff, Urotsukidoji and Akira all look the same.

You got the wrong end of the sarcasm son

Coming to the self realization that i don’t care about animations. Dont care about the bad ones in sfv. Don’t care about the bad ones in nrs games. Unless its like that last kof game. Those sucked. Even then tho i probably coulda gave it a chance if the character designs were more murican

I’m honestly not sure what your point is any more. You seem to be saying that differences in things don’t exist? Or rather they do, but only at the cutoff points you have designated?

At the risk of being mean, you are arguing definitions and not content so I’m not sure what kind of response you expect since I doubt many people will agree with the definitions you are arguing for.

Edit: Apparently this was sarcasm… ignore my comments.

I dont know if it was the case for lethal hitsbut the thing that makes crushing blows interesting for me now is being available once a game. You can make some good but accessible mind games off this.

This mechanic was in KI and it didn’t really matter much as most anything at that point was lethal anyways.
