I hope you don’t seriously believe this
What I’m saying is binary reactions like the ones we measure in these tests aren’t the same as reactions in a game. Knowing what and when to look for something adds multiple dimensions.
Sure if person A and person B have the exact same game knowledge and situational awareness of a given moment and one has a slightly faster binary reaction then yes, that person would have an advantage.
However getting all those variables lined up only exists in theory.
I think we tend to place too much emphasis on raw reaction speed instead of looking at the other factors that allow someone to react. It’s my belief that for everyone that isn’t mentally challenged, you can make up for whatever deficiency you have in reactions with knowledge and situational awareness, unless you start comparing your reactions to those at the elite of elite level of reaction speed
Yeah that’s true. I just want fast plasma I guess.
You need to make sure your not overly focused on one thing, basically nothing should be catching you off guard or surprise you. What can you expect in mid range against karin? a random ressenha? dash? whiffed sweep, a jump in? You need to be in a balance state of mind where you can safely react to each scenario whilst also not overly focusing on any.
I do. You got dat smart man brainz I iz stupid so I press button even when no advantage.
Press button gud cuz I can be de winner and be better dan Diego Umesanchez.
Also Will I think maybe you should just admit to yourself you don’t really like SFV. I love this game so I play it all the time. Did a whole discord voice group chat with the boys and it made the wins and losses really fun. I’m having a good time with the game so I want to keep improving. Plus I have a character I like.
Maybe it’s time for full time Smash
No, I’m just a sad sack of shit who wants to get good at video games 'cause it’s the only worthwhile thing I have XP
Yikes
But I understand how you feel. Don’t treat the road to improvement like it’s a chore. It’s okay to be upset at your losses and to feel like you’re stagnant. I do all the time. But don’t forget that all the SRK guys are here for you man. That’s why (I know Roofie is gonna freak) I’m glad I have the discord. I play Pookie every fucking day. He’s better than me at everything. I gotta hear EZ after every loss. But little by little I’m catching on. You can do it to man. Also Ben fucking sucks anyway I bodied him like 2 seasons ago.
JWong playing Falke. Looks like a character that suits him well tbh.
keep running your fuckin mouth boi
If I had more money than sense I would fund these international SRK shit talks with plane tickets and money matches.
Someone start a Patreon or GoFundMe or something.
About 700 lp to go till I am a fraud platinum scrub.
I wonder how many points more I will manage to acquire tonight with Falke.
Those Grief buffs getting you the shiny plat metal.
In a way… I am super gold on the PC account with him, but playing him with VT2 improved my neutral and it is paying off with dividends when I play with Falke.
How can you be so hateful against yourself? There’s rarely ever credit given to your abilities by yourself. And to be honest, it’s really SILLY.
YOU ARE a pillar to this community. Not many from our old hangout are here in this thread. Yet here you are, still playing and contributing. I reckon if you could just give yourself some praise, you’d be much better off.
PS, bringing your old name back might help too.
What ever happened to so many of the old guys.
I value other people’s happiness far more than my own and don’t believe that anything I do is good enough or worth complimenting compared to what other people are able to do or have done
Just how I am and how I’ve always been, I guess
I’m greedy, when I use Akuma’s VT2 I want damage and not pressure. So I try to hold out for a AA EX DP or hit confirm into the EX moves. VT2 definitely has more utility than VT1. But VT1 is just so good at a few things and allows you to force your will on your opponent.
I think VT2 is pretty good, but a little too honest for most Akuma players lol. It’s unfortunate because I really like VT2 and found a lot of cool uses for it. But once they took away the fireball whiff cancel I almost never use it anymore. Whiff canceling is BS I know. But like I said, why would I want to play more honest when another option lets me go nuts?
A lot of people in the X Tekken and SFIV community just moved away, I think. Everybody who was prominent in MVC3 dropped MVCI completely. The MVCI forum is a ghost town.
Yeah almost all my online friends from SF4 don’t play SFV. Shit bummed me super hard because they were what kept me into the game while I was first learning the genre.
But bro, that ain’t the fact. Nothing I do is good. That self loathing will harm you the longer you stay with that energy. You can give yourself some value or praise, ain’t nothing wrong with that at all.
