While there are other factors, whether a person can react in time to an action can come down to the difference of a single frame, and a single frame for a 60fps game is 16.6ms. Two people with reaction speeds that are around 50ms apart have roughly a difference of 3 frames in what they can react to. Again, that can be the difference between success and failure.
Beyond raw success and failure is also the matter of consistency. The slower person not only cannot successfully react to things that the faster person can react to, the faster person can consistently react to things that the slower person is inconsistent with.
So I’ve been watching Tokido use Vtrigger2 lately. Are those chips strings with red fireball real? Do you have to hold that if you can’t v-reversal?

Yeah, EX Red Fireball is +8 on block so if you use VTII to repeatedly special cancel you can create a true blockstring and end with super (which DP xx Super is also a true blockstring, or EX Red Fireball -> Super since super is 8 frame start-up) which does like 25% in chip damage

Sakura shoots plasma.
Her fireballs move too slow.
Reactions is a more of a mentality thing. If your fearful or negative then your more likely to fail. You need to be stoic and disciplined in your approach to the game.

heavy fireball is ok and goes almost full screen, with akuma his fastest fireball doesnt even go half screen.

If your using a pad and playing a char that anti airs with dp then you wont be consistent anti airing becuase the dpad doesnt offer the flexibility to do the move accurately whilst being in motion. And if your efforts are either inconsistent then you will dither in your approach to the game, which means that “shit reactions”.
I would suggest you invest in a stick.

When you’re trading plasma with other characters you really notice how slow Sakura fireball is.
The hp fireball isnt really slow mate, you must be trading with sagat/ryu/guile. Against ken and other chars it’s decent.
