Season 1 Mika was an absolute threat to Bison, so he had the Dictator syndrome like in SFIV where Guile was always the problem.
It’s more manageable now at least. If it’s anything like before, his problems would be characters who can oppressively get onto his face for pressure. (Ibuki comes to mind)
Aside of that, yeah he’s pretty strong and can put good work and results.

With those normals,specials and VT1 Bison is in the 5 to 10 tier area, just like all the characters in this top 8 not named Akuma, Guile or Ibuki and that’s fair. The rest of the cast is there as a side dish.
Yeah, Bison was never bad in SFV. Just risky to use and hard to control/optimize.

People really outta not quick rise 100% of the time.
Bison sucked at winning tournaments in S1 so he was effectively pretty bad. He doesn’t have the precise ground movement to survive with a 4 frame light. There was some characters that basically character select beat him.
Even now Problem X still busts Abigail for certain matchups. A solo Bipson I dont think would be in Winners GFs.

Nothing wrong with Akuma being Top tier and close to broken. It’s Akuma and you have to accept it. It’s Street Fighter.
