It seems to me that Pertho is holding Smash to the same standard as any fighting game. No other fighting game would get a pass for two players sandbagging Grand Finals. Smash should be no different in that regard.

You know, I’d much rather an Evo Grand Finals not been disrespected that way. I have my opinions and analysis of Smash for every which way. Had this been an FG that did it at a Smash centric event, it’d be just as heated.
Overall it is as big a black eye as you can give your own scene. From the very shallow looks of it in social media stuff, there’s a lot of very childish/immature opinions on the smash online twatter sphere about what went down.
Legit I don’t know how Nintendo looks at this community now and goes: “Yeah, let’s spend some money supporting it through pot bonus/extra dev time/ patches etc.” Reason being that this legitimately proves that they are willing to make devs, tournaments and anybody look bad over some petty stuff.
This is not good in about as not good a fashion as you can have it.

Seems to be a smash 4 issue.
Smash 4’s percentage scaling system seems to work differently which is why they’ve had to force the game to 2 stocks and it still takes long. Hopefully Ultimate is going to be to the more traditional 5 stocks percentage deal. Crazy that 2 stocks still takes ass long in 4.
