The kind i spew when a guy goes on about whose soft on the internet.

Who gives a shit about being tough. Im over here trying to not have the cipher experience and you’re over there with your shades and tapout tshirt judging me.

Also you should check yourself. If you’re ever on the side of an argument that he agrees on you’re probably wrong.

A post on Twitter go to me thinking. When you guys goto locals or whatnot and are introducing yourself to others (not the TOs), do you use your real names or gamertag?

I had an instance where people were using me and my wife’s real life Facebook and LinkedIn profiles for shitty behaviour and it leaked into our personal lives, so we deleted those accounts.

Since then, I’m very conscious of staying anonymous to everyone but close friends, family, and work. However, introducing myself in person as “PlusFrames” sounds weird AF to me, unless they already know me from here or Twitter.

Curious how you guys handle it, and what’s common, what’s not, etc? I may even just introduce myself as my first name, but keep my last name close to my chest.

God had nothing to do with this.

Good thing there isn’t any new tech in SFV. That second setup is real real good.

I just go by my handle here or my first name. First name basis is almost always just by friends.

I always use my real name. Of course, I don’t tell them my whole name (first and last) unless I feel comfortable and they’re trying to be fb friends or something. I feel like it’s some super awkward shit to introduce yourself by your gamertag.

I actually had this happen to me last week. I introduced myself to a guy at a local, asked his name, and he paused for a super long time before saying “my name is first name but I prefer to go by what I assume is his tag

It was pretty awkward, but I know to call that guy by his tag and honestly forget his real name.

I gotta suffer Twin posting lying ass images of Kolin with a perfect nose. Cipher ain’t nothing compared to that.

Miss Bimbo was my gamer tag when I was playing world of warcraft.

A lot of us from the guild met up irl and we became friends. Heck one of my 09er friends is from the same world of warcraft guild.

And until today. They call me Miss Bimbo even in public and at my home even though they know my real name is Edmund since 10 years ago.

Yea im guessing 17 since you didn’t answer. I get it. Social studies filled me with angst as well.

But now I have something new to call you!

Yeah, when I was going by OldManRage, I remember feeling so dumb when saying that aloud at my local. That was part of the change to PlusFrames, which I think sounds better and at least has a familiar ring to fighting game players, but it still sounds weird to say in real life to me.

I’ll probably just go by my first name in person.

My original gamer tag was NakedChoke… Which is a legit classification of a bunch of moves in judo/jiu jitsu etc.

Trouble is everyone thought i was a sex offender.

At least you didn’t go by RearNakedChoke.

The tech is to pick a name people respect. A name that lets everyone know how tough you are. I’d go with eskills tbh.
