Why, in the name of everything holy, would they give the Devilotte costume to Menat? That is a Karin outfit and everyone knows that.
Menat is an expert at robbing characters from their costumes.
She stole the Felicia costume from R. Mika.
That classic Sim is right on time.
The real question is: why is Devilotte so red?
That one at least has a little bit of justification what with Menat doing cat-like things.
Devilotte and Menat have NOTHING in common at all. The outfit doesn’t fit her in the slightest. She doesn’t even look happy to be wearing it in that picture.
I never understood why Mika fits better for Felicia tbh
Menat has the cat mannerisms going on at least
It looks nice but beard Sim> OG Sim. It’s so good its how i think of him now
I’ll be honest, as a Menat shill this is the first costume she got that I’m not a fan of, that 5 head is off putting af lol
Edit: gonna spend bucks on this Laura one tho
Yea the Ibuki one is by far the best.
Re: SF6
Call me suspicious but I doubt they’re even in the early development stages. At best, someone at Capcom has pitched it. SF5 wasn’t exactly a hit, Capcom is a conservative and risk-averse Japanese company. If we’re getting it, I’d imagine they won’t throw a bunch of money at it, so I worry about getting another rushed, buggy product.
Japanese companies do this thing where they’ll release a shitty game, and then punish the public for not buying it by shelving the entire franchise for 10 years. They don’t learn the right lessons from poor sales, they just sort of assume there’s no interest in the franchise. They refuse to acknowledge that their product has any problems because it makes them look bad. Capcom already did it with SF once, Nintendo did it with Metroid Other M. Etc.
It’s prolly about 1/4th the way through development cycle - including concept and planning phases.
Imagine MVCI with more Ken and Ryu variants? Fuck me…
I hope they learned a hard lesson with MVCI, but what the hell do I know.
MK11 is killing right now so they know there’s money in fighting games if they’re done right, and MK11 isn’t even perfect. There’s a lot of things I’d change if I was at the helm (more to do with unlocking and game modes than gameplay though).
That’s not possible without changing the game at a fundamental level
Man look at those ugly ass feet on Ibuki’s costume, yuck. This is why I hope SF6 moves away from the big limbs thing, it’s not needed in 3D. Even in the 2D era the excuse was wack
I want to believe that, I just don’t see how based on past experience with Capcom. When a franchise underperforms they tend to ice it for a while. This is a fairly standard way of doing business in Japan; no one wants to admit a product came out below expectations so they force other assumptions and explanations like “interest in this franchise is low, people just aren’t that into Street Fighter I guess.”
If SF6 is really in development then it would be sort of unprecedented, and I’d worry about the outcome of that development cycle because they probably won’t invest heavily in the game. We don’t need another shoestring Street Fighter game.
For real, Ryu with feet like a hobbit can be burned at the stake
We could just use all known information to deduce the chance of SF6 being in development is around 90% likely.
They reworked their staff for the FG department around a year and a half ago
They have recently completely overhauled their esports department and their only esport is Street Fighter
SF5 has sold IIRC around 3mil-4mil units and that’s not including DLC sale profits - it’s a successful title for revenue at this point
The CPT has been growing by the year in viewership and has had super consistent player pools across events, a lot of them growing.
With the next generation of consoles looming, the next 2 years will see big shifts for console focused esports titles. Developers across the board have been quiet as the gen leap approaches.
