SFV Lounge: I'm still alive. Sakura's alt is kinda cute

And with the return of Final Fantasy arguments, the thread has come full circle once more

Now this is a quality post man. Keep this up and maybe I’ll like your posts more

Look dammit, do you want to fight or something?

Glad more people realize FF VII was trash.

It wasn’t bad by any stretch, I enjoyed it enough. It’s just when compared to the rest of the series, it’s lower on the list for me.

When you’ve got stuff like Breath of the Wild, Majora’s Mask, Link Between Worlds, Link’s Awakening, or Minish Cap to contend with…yeah :3

Also since we’re on the FF topic, FFXV is still the best Final Fantasy~

I forgot about ffxv  Still havent taken the time to play through it

If ever there was an FF game with high highs and low lows, its FFXV.

Its still good, but its all over the place in quality.

OoT was the first 3D Zelda, it was a solid game with good ideas that haven’t aged that bad, but they’re not exactly polished.

Majora’s Mask plays nothing like OoT despite being on the same engine, get outta here. The masks and 3-day cycle makes it a whole different beast and the best game of the series imo.

Now TP takes the foundation of OoT after the mess that was Wind Waker and builds upon it.

Overworld is a bit too empty, yes, but there is actual exploration on it and it’s not entirely a plain like the original.

The mechanics are not only more polished, but they’re better used as well, especially the swordplay and Epona. Story also expands on OoT’s formula. Enemies and puzzles are straight up better.

I could go on, but I’ll resume everything with this: TP feels like an OoT remake. A big remake that takes the original, improves upon it and it still feels like the same game.

How is it not a better game than OoT?

Edit: fuck, that was supposed to be the short version.

The dungeons are boring and lackluster, the swordplay isn’t really much better unless you fight a darknut, you only use Epona like twice, the game is super linear with a ton of boring filler

It’s the game I replay the least in the series for a reason. I like Wind Waker more than TP.

thats not a good tip, I guess you are a fake xenoblade fan a real one would actually try to help me

Yeah, heard a lot of mixed opinions. I’ll probably enjoy it, just have trouble finding the time and still kind of iffy on the gameplay.

Still have to play breath of the wild and kingdom hearts 3. Tough finding the motivation and time when you have to do adult stuff :pensive:

Mostly just play bbtag and ffxiv with my free time

Also if you want the good marvel game, this is the one you are gonna get for this year

looks sick

My tips are reserved for when you get the game

Well, more that the game’s just fun and it’s not too overwhelming of an RPG, you’ll get it as you go. No tips required~

I’m sorry, are you talking about Wind Waker or TP? WW has these exact problems, plus the most hated overworld mechanics of the series and you’re gonna tell me it’s better?

Yeah, to each his opinion, there’s no logical argument to be made here.

I already got the game its downloading right now

All I know looking at the characters is I am gona use this guy

I like WW’s dungeons more than TP’s.

WW didn’t force me to play as Wolf Link, or to wander around looking for statues for no damn reason, or force me into stupid cowboy minigames.

TP has far more annoyances I’d rather not go through again. WW is at least calming.

Will be a bit before you get him

I guess one tip I can give is to keep your eye on your surroundings when you’re travelling. The Xenoblade series isn’t afraid to plop lv 70-90 baddies in the early areas…including a giant lv. 92 Gorilla.

The plus side is that the series is also rather lenient when it comes to failing, you’ll just be sent back to the latest travel point you went to. And take note of where that boss monster is so you can kick its ass when you’ve got the right gear~

Also you get to look forward to meeting me for real now!

I already know
